I was auditioning the PW Terminator some more yesterday after about two weeks of burn in. It's overall wonderful but slightly coarse.

I was hit by the HDA-5230Mk2.
What surprised me the most was when I heard a recording, a recording of guitar and vocals, the vocals were singing in my head, and the guitar was right in front of me. No matter how you listen, I'll be in front of you. Depending on the song, it may touch a little from the left and right, but always in front of you. I never heard this with the same headphones.
Another thing I was surprised to see that although I liked it, it was a little old and I was often used on newer models, and it started to sound fresh like something completely different. I've also tried listening to a variety of other headphones I have, and it's really fun to hear them all play differently than before. The headphone amplifier I already own is also a very reasonable and good thing, I like it and I trust it, but I also thought it would also serve as a reference in a completely different way.
Rather than having no complaints about the current imbalance, there are no complaints at all, and balanced amps around here are at the level where you can escape barefoot. Before we talk about balance, I think this sound is probably unique. I've heard headphone amps of 1 million class at events, but they're not a comparison. However, that's why I can't help but wonder what kind of sound will be if this is balanced. The other two models (HDA-5520MK2, SCL CAP-1003) also have impressive sounds, and are great as long as they can be heard on their own, but once you listen to the 5230, the shadows fade away. For some reason, the current driving of the 5520 was not able to tell the difference in sound of about 5230. Is it a difference in power source? I tried out the 5230 with a clean power source I had and thought it would improve even better.

Impressions after trying out the new DL-103D
I've received the DL-103D, so I tried out the "ANDRES SEGOVIA GOLD DISC" that I always listen to. The following points made me surprised:
Sound Freshness: A clearer and clearer sound was obtained.
Guitar Contour: The guitar's contours as an instrument are more clearly heard.
Length of reverberation: Each note disappears with a long, deep reverberation.
Overall softness: The overall sound is very soft and comfortable to listen to.
The DL-103D was created with a reasonable idea in principle, and its aims are realized as they are. Today, I have prepared a number of records that I would like to listen to in the future (^^♪
