Yamamoto Sound Craft V-Groove Support Setting Base - Set of 2

The VB-25/VB-18 are completely new types of setting bases developed to pursue vibration damping effects for a wide range of audio equipment such as amplifiers, CD players, and speakers.

 Innovative vibration damping structure with V-groove support

This product consists of two parts: top and bottom.

• Bottom part (rectangular prism type): Features a V-shaped groove.
• Top part (triangular prism type): Used facing downward, and installed so that the vertex of the triangle contacts the groove in the bottom part.

Compared to conventional pinpoint bases, this design offers superior stability, and the contact area between the equipment and the floor becomes linear, which moderately suppresses vibrations even under the weight of speakers. As a result, the sound quality is improved, enriching playback sound and increasing power.

High acoustic properties brought by striped ebony

The material used is fine wood called striped ebony from Southeast Asia.

• High density and hardness: With a density of about 1.1 and hardness, it is highly effective at suppressing vibrations.
• Reliable acoustic properties: It is also used in the necks of high-end guitars, with proven acoustic performance.

High compatibility with large and heavy equipment

This product reduces the load applied to the support areas compared to pinpoint bases, allowing for higher weight capacity.

VB-25 is 25cm long and offers excellent stability, making it suitable for large and heavy equipment such as amplifiers with a depth of about 40cm.

Unique Rod-Shaped Insulator Structure

• This unusual rod-shaped design features a distinctive structure with a triangular prism placed in a V-shaped groove. Made from Asian blackwood (zebrawood), it produces a tight, crisp sound reminiscent of a clapper when tapped—a very hard and high-quality wood. The machining precision is extremely high, with absolutely no wobble.
  Available in 25cm (VB-25) and 18cm (VB-18) sizes, it can be flexibly used with various equipment such as speakers and amplifiers.
