The original tube socket is made by machining fluororesin (or Comprite) and fixing the pins using circular machining. This ensures a tight fit, securely holding the vacuum tube and preventing sound quality degradation due to vibration. In addition, the excellent insulation of fluororesin makes it a key component in vacuum tube amplifier construction.
Description of materials used
Fluororesin:Formal name is polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), offering the highest electrical insulation and dielectric properties among all solids, as well as excellent temperature resistance.
Phosphor bronze:Used for the pins of most tube sockets (except L series). It has high strength, excellent spring properties, and maintains stable contact.
Gold plating:Most socket pins are plated with a non-magnetic base layer followed by a thick layer of gold (except L series). Magnetism is minimized in the plating material.
