High-Quality Teflon Socket

Octal tube socket for use with tubes such as 7C5, 7N7, C3m, C3o, etc.

Description

Socket specifically for octal tubes with a locking mechanism

This product is an 8-pin tube socket compatible with octal tubes, including popular models like 7C5, 7N7, 7AF7, 1LA4, and 5AZ4. It accommodates the unique center pin structure of octal tubes and features a mechanism that securely locks the tube in place when fully inserted. This prevents loosening or contact issues during use and ensures a stable operating environment. The mounting hole diameter is 30mm, and the screw spacing is 38.2mm, allowing easy integration into standard chassis designs.

High holding power and reliability from machined construction

The socket body is precision-machined from fluororesin, with pins securely held using round cutting techniques. This structure eliminates play and firmly holds the octal tube. Combined with the locking mechanism, it minimizes contact fluctuations due to vibration and prevents microphonic noise that can degrade sound quality.

Stable electrical characteristics with high-insulation fluororesin body

The body is made of fluororesin (tetrafluoroethylene), which offers top-tier electrical insulation and low dielectric constant among solid materials. It also has excellent heat resistance, maintaining stable electrical properties even in high-voltage circuits or during long-term operation. This makes it a reliable foundational component for building amplifiers using octal tubes.

Reliable contact with phosphor bronze pins and gold plating

The socket pins are made of phosphor bronze, providing strength and springiness to maintain stable contact pressure over long-term use. Additionally, a thick gold plating is applied over a non-magnetic base treatment to reduce contact resistance and minimize signal loss. This supports pure, high-fidelity sound reproduction without diminishing the smooth, balanced tone unique to octal tubes.
