High-quality Teflon Socket

Jumbo 4P type socket for use with 211 and 845 tubes

Description

4P socket compatible with large 211/845-series transmitting tubes

This product is a 4-pin tube socket designed for large transmitting tubes typical of models such as 211, 845, 242, and 832. The mounting hole diameter is 55mm, with screw spacing at 48mm × 4, making it suitable for amplifier designs using 211/845-class vacuum tubes. It features no locking mechanism, relying on precise pin fitting to securely hold the tube, balancing simple construction with high reliability.

Stable hold performance through precision fitting

Instead of a locking mechanism, the socket maximizes pin-to-socket fitting precision, ensuring a strong grip upon insertion. It minimizes looseness and suppresses contact variations caused by vibrations during operation. Correct alignment during insertion allows stable installation even for heavy tubes such as 211 and 845.

High insulation performance with machined fluororesin body

The socket body is made from machined fluororesin (PTFE). It offers extremely high electrical insulation, low dielectric constant, and excellent heat resistance, making it safe to use even in high-voltage, high-power transmitting tube circuits. It also minimizes unwanted electrical effects on sound quality, serving as a vital component supporting the amplifier's fundamental performance.

Reliable contact with phosphor bronze pins and thick gold plating

The socket pins are made of phosphor bronze, offering strength and elasticity to maintain stable contact pressure over long periods. Additionally, a thick gold plating is applied over a non-magnetic base treatment to reduce contact resistance, ensuring high stability for small signal changes and power supply. This design draws out the scale and clarity of 211/845 tubes without compromise.
