Clear and pleasant sound for the ears
Triangular point-support bases
Description
Made from ebony with a density of 1.1. Achieves both stable line support and the excellent resonance characteristic of wood.
The PB-22 has been developed as a setup base for amplifiers, speakers, CD players, and other equipment, aiming to improve vibration control and sound quality.
Use of rare ebony wood for musical instruments
- Highest level of hardness: The material used is ebony, a particularly hard and strong wood (striped ebony from Southeast Asia).
- Excellent resonance: This rare material, also used for guitar necks and violin bridges, has a density of about 1.1 and is well known for its excellent resonance.
Unique shape and stability
PB-22 has a unique triangular shape.
- High stability: When placed, it provides good stability, and when set up at 3 or 4 points, it is more stable than pinpoint support bases.
- Scratch-resistant: Since the top tip is line-shaped rather than a sharp pin, it has the advantage of causing less damage to the equipment placed on top.
Elimination of resonant sound and sound quality effect through wood
- Resonance suppression: Prevents the metallic resonance that often occurs with metal pinpoint bases by combining with hard ebony.
- Clear playback sound: This vibration control effect allows you to enjoy clear and pleasant playback sound.
- Vibration control effect: Sufficient vibration control can also be achieved through pinpoint (more accurately line) support.

Sound tuning according to usage
- Basic setup: Place 3 or 4 bases under the bottom plate or legs of your equipment with the 90-degree angle of the triangle pointing upwards.
- Sound adjustment: The ridges on top can be oriented either front-to-back or side-to-side, and different orientations subtly change the sound (mainly the sound spread and reverberation). Placing the front 2 and the back 2 (or 1) in opposite directions changes the sound even further. You can experiment and enjoy tuning the sound according to your equipment.

Review
The sound image becomes clear and responsive
-
"The contours of the sound are crisp, and the focus aligns beautifully."
The high density and moderate internal damping unique to ebony effectively attenuate the subtle vibrations transmitted from speakers and equipment. As a result, many users report that the sound image becomes less blurred and the sense of attack improves.
Low-frequency muddiness is reduced, achieving a good balance of tightness and fullness
-
"The ambiguity in the low end disappears, leaving tightness and natural richness."
The excessive resonance typical of metal insulators is suppressed, allowing the calm vibration control of ebony to shine. The bass line becomes clear while maintaining fullness, and the overall sound remains well-defined, which is highly appreciated.
High frequencies become smoother, eliminating harshness
-
"The harshness in the high range is controlled, making the tone sound natural and easy to listen to."
The resonance control offered by ebony reduces roughness and metallic harshness in the high range. Without compromising the amount of detail, the high frequencies transform into a smooth and pleasant sound.
Stable and easy to handle for small to medium speakers
-
"The triangular structure is very stable and easy to set up."
The triangular base provides stability close to three-point support, securely holding equipment even on slightly uneven surfaces. Many users report it works effectively not only with speakers but also with DACs, CD players, and phono amps.
Beauty and ownership satisfaction unique to ebony
-
"The texture is excellent, and the visual satisfaction is high."
The lustrous appearance of African striped ebony also holds strong appeal as a craft item. Simply placing it on an audio board or rack tightens the overall system ambiance and increases the satisfaction of ownership.
