Eliminate resonance and create clear reproducibility

Plate type magnet floating base

Description

The MGB-50 can be stored in a rack. A neodymium magnet is placed at the bottom four of the beautiful asada cherry blossom collection material, and it is an audio board floating the board itself by the repulsive effect of magnetic force combined with the base part of strong African ebony material.
isMGB-1It is floated by the equivalent magnet and corresponds to a relatively heavy product of 5kg to 30kg. Mainly power amplifiers, large CD players, analog players, etc.

Improves S/N ratio and creates clear reproducibility

Compared to ordinary audio boards that dampen vibrations, the magnet floating base floats audio equipment almost contactlessly to prevent vibration from being transmitted from the floor. Not only vibration from the outside, but also resonance of the audio device itself and reflective vibration to the enclosure. By eliminating noise, the S/N ratio is improved, the sound field becomes quiet, the outlook of the space is good, and the sense of localization and resolution is also improved with rich information volume. The bass is deep and powerful, and the treble range is sharply elongated.
In particular, the unnecessary bulge of the middle and low range is absorbed, the balance of the response becomes uniform, the sound tone is mild, not turbid, the transparency increases and the way the detail comes out becomes clear.

Review

The MGB-50 is a mid-sized model that fits perfectly into the company’s racks. Placing it on the top shelf with an analog turntable yields a striking improvement in performance. The increase in the number of audible details and the greater sense of depth in the soundstage are especially impressive. It’s evident that vibrations have been eliminated—not merely external vibrations, but more significantly, the internal resonances of the turntable itself are suppressed. This prevents delicate signals from being masked, resulting in a higher information density and extended decay of sounds. Bass reaches deeper, while the highs become more precise and incisive, broadening the overall sense of sonic resolution. This effect is particularly pronounced with instruments like piano, where the solidity of the touch and the crispness of articulation stand out. The clarity in quiet passages is also notably improved, enhancing the expressive capabilities of the playback and delivering sound with remarkable freshness and vibrancy. Similarly, when placing a CD player on the MGB-50, there’s a clear improvement in signal-to-noise ratio (S/N). Although CDs are generally less affected by external vibrations, it seems that internal vibrations and resonance between the device and its supporting surface have a significant impact. By allowing mechanical vibrations to dissipate more freely, reflections back into the system are minimized, reducing noise.

This lowered background noise brings a remarkable quietness to the soundstage. Piano playback benefits from more precise articulation, with powerful bass chords rendered clearly and with strong presence. Naturally, the delicacy in soft passages is enhanced, but there’s also a noticeable improvement in high-frequency extension.

A cappella recordings gain richer tonal color and vividness, with voices rendered with greater corporeal presence. Orchestral music gains in dynamism and scale, and the improved S/N ratio allows for clearer spatial definition. Instrument positions and depth become more discernible, contributing to a stronger overall sense of presence. Attacks are sharper, and the impact during tutti passages is powerful. Even at high volumes, congestion is reduced, and resolution is undoubtedly improved.

Adding isolation spikes further enhances the sonic performance. This combination of point contacts increases the number of contact points and delivers greater energy, giving the music even more vividness and solidity. The pizzicato of a double bass gains weight and texture, while the kick drum descends cleanly without muddiness. In a cappella performances, the reverberation trails even longer, revealing breath nuances and vocal expressions with astonishing clarity.
