Yamamoto Sound CraftWe equip our HS-4 carbon fiber head shell and the same company's lightweight, high-rigidity pure titanium TY-1 at our store. This is a set product that eliminates the tedious installation work.
The characteristics of carbon fiber include approximately twice the rigidity of steel, about 1/5 the weight of steel, and excellent sound propagation speed. In the HS-4 and HS-4S, the carbon fiber is molded to a thicker 5mm size, maintaining high strength while finishing it as a head shell. The most important qualities for head shell materials are light weight, high strength, and minimal resonance. Carbon fiber meets all of these conditions, making it the best material for the purpose.
By replacing the finger lift with high-rigidity titanium, the combination of carbon and titanium increases the overall rigidity, resulting in tighter sound and clearer imaging.
