I want to use both headphones and speakers

Great vacuum tube sound from headphones and speakers

Description

The HA-03 is a unique amplifier designed with the aim of making an amplifier that can be enjoyed with the best sound quality both in headphones and speakers. The HA-03 has a simple structure made from a high-performance vacuum tube C3m, which is amplified in one step. In the case of this machine, the structure has been simplified to the extreme to maximize the appeal of the vacuum tube.

Simple, so the sound is fresh and you can enjoy music

The amplifier circuit of this unit is extremely simple. The pentapole tube C3m, a vintage vacuum tube made by Siemens in Germany, is used as a pentapole tube connection, bringing out moderate amplification rate and the highest quality. The circuit does not use negative feedback, and uses the simplest and most natural, no-feedback method. Using negative feedback improves performance, but the sound is often unnatural.

The number of parts that pass through has been reduced to the limit, minimizing sound deterioration. In this case, the screen grid circuit and plate circuit are used as separate power sources, and by converting the screen grid circuit into a constant voltage, the large output of approximately 1W is obtained at the speaker load.

Maximum output is 1.4W headphones and 1W speakers to handle a wide range of loads

The HA-03 has an output of 1.4W with headphone load and 1.0W with speaker load. The output of 1W may seem small, but it is said that the output of a vacuum tube amplifier is as impressive as that of a few times the output of a semiconductor amplifier. Please check the capabilities of the speakers that are normally used. With a speaker that is reasonably efficient, you can enjoy almost satisfying sound up to medium volume. The impedance of the corresponding headphones can also be applied to a wide range of headphones, ranging from 16Ω to 200Ω.

Highly insulating reinforced wood is used for the chassis, and other high-quality sound components are used.

The chassis of this unit uses phenolic resin-reinforced wood with high insulation and high strength, contributing to high-quality sound. Additionally, high-quality components from around the world are carefully selected, such as a large R-core transformer for the power supply and wire-wound resistors made by DALE in the United States.
It offers a bright, clear, and vivid sound without any blur, along with impressive shadowed reproduction. Moreover, when using bookshelf-type compact speakers, one can enjoy dense and high-quality sound.

Review

It delivers a clean yet well-defined sound with clear contours, allowing for expressive shadowed nuances when using headphones. It does not stretch the range excessively, but the sound remains bright and vivid without blurring the edges. Piano touch is clear and thick, and in jazz, the unexpectedly solid and perceptible low bass can be felt. Speakers reproduce similarly. Listening with bookshelf-type speakers in a small space should be comfortable. In any case, it is a product that offers a high-density quality sound. I tried it with SENNHEISER HD-650, and it performs sufficiently well. With its high adaptability, it should be possible to listen comfortably with any headphones.
