Beautifully resonant ebony head shell

High-quality ebony head shell made from musical instrument-grade wood

Description
The African ebony used in the HS-1A and HS-1As is a beautiful black material commonly used for oboes and clarinets.
Using a head shell made of wood with high internal damping helps significantly reduce the impact of resonance.
The wood’s natural texture and feel are preserved with an eco-friendly protective wood coating, finished with buffing. Experience the wood's unique appearance and warmth. You can enjoy a completely different, natural, and ear-friendly sound compared to typical metal shells.

As the product is lightweight, the included mount screws are brass with gold plating. Brass has a high density, so using longer screws can slightly increase the shell’s weight. The gold-plated brass screws are applied over a non-magnetic base, ensuring safe use. Additionally, the finger rest is also gold-plated over a non-magnetic base, making it safe to use even with MC cartridges that are sensitive to magnetic influence.

The head shell angle can be adjusted, making it compatible with various tonearms.

The HS-1As features Teflon-insulated thick 6N copper wire shell leads, which enhance power. Since they are soldered, you can also expect improved sound quality due to reduced electrical contact resistance.
