The attenuator part of the AT-03-1A,AT-03-3A adopts a volume adjustment function called L-type that switches 28-point resistors. The L-pad type has only two resistors that enter the signal source, minimizing the sound quality based on the resistor. The loss of a passing resistor is minimized by the adoption of a surface-mounted resistor, and noise during contact switching is rarely generated. The step interval of each switch point can be adjusted in 2dB steps from 0dB to -38dB, allowing fine adjustment. The minimum volume can be narrowed down to -65dB, and any level adjustment is possible. The left and right level deviation at each volume setting is within real 0.2dB, and the difference between the left and right levels, which is the weakness of the continuous volume unit, is negligible.

Impedance is a 50kΩ impedance that can be connected to any device. The volume adjustment switch and input switching switch of this machine adopt the 45SD type of Seiden Co., Ltd., which has a reputation, to improve reliability and usability. After a number of listening tests, DALE's 1W type of surface-mounted resistor is used for the volume control unit. For the internal wiring of this machine, high purity copper single wire 6N 1.2mm diameter was used for all wire materials. Wire material is used in the tube of Teflon which is the best insulation.
