Yamamoto Sound Craft 6N copper annealed single wire shell lead YR-03

YR-03 is 6N high-quality head shell lead wire using high purity copper annealed single wire. Annealing (dulling) removes stress inside copper wire and improves conductivity by arranging molecular sequences. This enables the sound quality that combines flexibility while enriching the amount of information.

Because the wire is continuously processed, the material is hard and the sound quality surface is disadvantageous, YR-03 adopts a single line with a diameter of 0.6 mm. There is a tendency to tighten the sound compared to the line, drawing out the potential of the cartridge without excess.

Teflon has excellent electrical properties for insulation materials. The terminal is equipped with a high-precision connector equivalent to our YRT-01, and a super-thick gold plating of 1.0 microns is applied to the non-magnetic base. The precision design of the arm side 1.0mm ω and the cartridge side 1.2mm ω minimizes contact resistance and realizes transmission without loss. In addition, the connecting part adopts reliable soldering using lead-free high-quality solder instead of kashime.

It goes without saying that the quality of the shell lead is directly connected to the sound quality. The YR-03 conveys the energy of the cartridge without excess, realizing a strong and tight sound.
