High quality ebony pinpoint base
High quality ebony pinpoint base
The PB-9 and PB-10 are setting bases for amplifiers and speakers that can be used individually or in combination with each other. The material used is African Black Wood (official scientific name), one of the hardest and strongest of all woods. This material is now rare, but is actually used for oboes and clarinets, and has a reputation for its excellent resonance.
PB-9 is pin-shaped and can be placed directly under amplifiers and speakers as a point support. PB-10 is concave and can be placed under the pins of a speaker or amplifier with spike pins to serve as a support base. PB-9 and PB-10 can also be combined to form a top and bottom structure to be used under amplifiers and other equipment to support audio equipment at three or four points.
Metal is usually used for these pinpoint bases, but metal spikes often produce resonance noise peculiar to metal, and the combination of PB-9 and PB-10 with hard wood prevents such resonance noise and provides a clear reproduction sound that is pleasant to the ear.
