Yamamoto Sound Craft A-08S "45" Single Stereo Amplifier Used

Despite its small output, the A-08S boasts sound quality comparable to that of a top-of-the-line 300B amplifier. It is designed to be combined with high-efficiency speakers to bring out the best sound quality. The circuit configuration consists of a Western Electric 717A driver tube and a 45-tube output stage.

The chassis is made of laminated reinforced wood that is impregnated with highly insulating phenolic resin and molded at high pressure on a cherry wood veneer. Although it looks like wood, it has excellent insulation and strength. High sound quality is achieved by preventing the effects of eddy currents and suppressing resonance.

The vacuum tube socket uses a high-quality socket made by the company that combines fluoropolymer material with excellent insulation performance and phosphor bronze socket pins.

The input terminals use a high-grade Teflon-insulated pin jack with a chrome copper machined outer conductor and phosphor bronze machined pins. The output terminal is a large terminal with pure copper machined gold plating, and it is also compatible with 8mm diameter speaker cables. The speaker terminals are dedicated to 8 ohms, but 4 ohms and 16 ohms can also be used, but if the maximum output is 8 W, it will drop to about 4 to 6 W.

The legs are carved out of African ebony, which is known for its beautiful sound. In order to ensure strength and good resonance, it is fixed directly to the comprelite chassis and firmly supports the overall weight.
