Headphone amplifier powered by AA batteries
The HDA-5520mk2 has a current output that allows for more detailed playback by driving the headphones current. It is a headphone amplifier that allows you to experience the true power of headphones.
It is the successor to the initial model HDA-5520, which was popular overseas. The internal circuitry has been significantly upgraded compared to the original HDA-5520, resulting in a clearer and deeper sound.
Sealed headphones and earphones are close to the drive system called elastic control, and the change in impedance is small, and distortion can be reduced when driven by current, and it is less affected by cables. However, in open headphones, it is closer to speaker drive and the impedance change may be large, in which case use a voltage drive.
Since it is battery powered, you will not be bothered by power supply noise. It can operate for about 40 hours with 12 AA batteries.
