The CAP-1001M is a high-performance monaural version of the stereo output CAP-1001 power amplifier.
The CAP series was developed to be compact, lightweight, and easy to use, especially designed for comfortable audio enjoyment in small rooms. However, many people have voiced their desire for a full-fledged audio experience, so the CAP-1001M was created by upgrading the CAP-1001 to monaural specifications and upgrading the components and circuitry used to high-end specifications.
The CAP-1001M uses gold-plated high-end parts for the RCA input terminals and speaker output terminals, and the speaker terminals are compatible with banana plugs. In the previous CAP-1001, a small gain controller also served as the power switch, but the CAP-1001M uses a conductive plastic potentiometer from Tokyo Kohon Radio. The gain control knob has also been changed to a large Bakelite knob, and two sets are used in parallel to lower the resistance value and enable reproduction over a wider bandwidth.
The circuit uses the latest second-generation HBK(I) amplification circuit and a newly developed high-precision bias circuit to achieve precise and highly reproducible sound quality. Maximum output power is 13W (10% distortion) and maximum distortion-free output power is 11W (1% distortion). 0.024% distortion at 1W at 20Hz, 0.023% at 1kHz, 0.061% at 20kHz, and 0.076% at 50kHz are very low for a no-reduction amplifier. DF (damping The DF (Damping Factor) is stable regardless of output power: 0.1W: 13.1, 1W: 13.3, and 10W: 13.3. While a general negative feedback amplifier varies the amount of negative feedback depending on the output and frequency, and the DF also fluctuates, the CAP-1001M does not use any negative feedback, eliminating problems such as TIM distortion and ensuring high-precision reproduction of any sound source.

CAP-1001M is a monaural model, so two units are required for stereo playback. There are two types of input signals: a model that supports voltage signals and a SATRI-LINK model that supports current signal transmission, which can be selected from options at the time of purchase.
Since the CAP series does not have a model with SATRI-LINK output, if you wish to use the SATRI-LINK connection, you will need an adapter that converts voltage signals to current signals calledSTX-1001Using SATRI-LINK enables more precise playback with more information than with voltage signals.
