The AMP-8510A offers a choice of the following four output semiconductors:

MOS-FET (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor)

MOS-FETs are widely used in audio amplifiers because of their very high switching speed and efficiency; their distinctive advantage is their high input impedance and low output impedance. This gives MOS-FETs the ability to deliver large currents with minimal degradation of sound quality.

Three types of semiconductors, silicon carbide (SiC), gallium nitride (GaN-FET), and ultra-low output impedance MOS-FETs, each have different sound quality characteristics that make them suitable for specific musical genres. Unparalleled driving power due to direct-coupled design

The greatest feature of the AMP-8510A is that the output semiconductors are directly connected to the speakers without any intermediary connection between them. This design is impossible to achieve with complementary PP (push-pull). The output power is 10W and the bias current is 1.8A, which requires a larger bias current due to the characteristics of a single Class-A amplifier.
