Taking Bakoon sound to even greater heights
A rare global example of a solid-state zero-feedback single-ended Class A amplifier
A high-performance amplifier that offers the ultimate audio experience
The AMP-8510A is an innovative solid-state Class A single-ended zero-feedback amplifier designed to exceed the expectations of music enthusiasts. It is packed with technology and craftsmanship aimed at pushing the limits of sound quality.

Selectable semiconductors for an endless audio experience
With the AMP-8510A, you can choose from the following three types of output semiconductors:
MOS-FET (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor)
MOS-FETs are widely used in audio amplifiers due to their very fast, highly efficient switching capabilities. The key advantages of MOS-FETs are their high input impedance and low output impedance. This allows them to deliver large currents while minimizing any deterioration in sound quality.
The three types of semiconductors—Silicon Carbide (SiC) and ultra-low output impedance MOS-FET—each have distinct sound characteristics and perform best for specific music genres. Below, the characteristics, reputation, evaluation, and recommended music genres for each are detailed.
SiC (Silicon Carbide)
SiC devices are known for their fast switching speeds and high efficiency. As a result, they produce highly accurate, clear, and detailed sound. High frequencies are transparent and crisp, midrange is well-defined, and low frequencies are tight with minimal distortion.
SiC semiconductors are highly regarded for their precision and detailed sound quality, commonly used in high-end audio amplifiers. Music enthusiasts appreciate them for their ability to faithfully reproduce subtle nuances in music.
It is ideal for music where fine details are emphasized, such as classical music, jazz, and acoustic performances. It also performs well with compositions that have complex instrument arrangements and a wide dynamic range.
Ultra-Low Output Impedance MOS-FET
The ultra-low output impedance MOS-FET provides extremely low output impedance in the output stage, giving high speaker driving capability and delivering smooth, stable sound quality. It has an overall flat frequency response, with particularly strong and clearly reproduced sound from the bass to midrange. It delivers a warm, smooth sound with natural midrange and rich, deep bass. The low output impedance minimizes signal loss, creating a full and powerful sound. Distortion is minimal, and the sound is very smooth up to high frequencies, making it easy to listen to for long periods.
Compared to conventional MOS-FETs, it offers higher sound fidelity and stable sound quality, earning high praise among audiophiles. It is especially favored in amplifiers that balance technical precision with musical warmth. It provides a sound that combines delicate reproduction with smoothness, appealing to audio enthusiasts who seek a relaxed, natural listening experience.
It is ideal for genres that require warm and rich sound quality, such as blues, soul, and classic rock. It is also suitable for vocal-centered music where natural midrange is important.
Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT))
Its main feature is powerful, full-bodied sound. The structure of the IGBT, which can handle high current and high voltage, directly contributes to the amplifier’s driving power, offering excellent reproduction of mid-to-low range punch and energy. Additionally, the smooth, pleasing sound quality is a major attraction, allowing for rich and musical expression without the hardness often associated with transistor amplifiers. Compared to MOS-FETs, it provides a noticeable sense of sonic density and is favored by listeners who seek analog-like warmth and realism in sound.
On the other hand, in terms of sound characteristics, the tuning often focuses more on the overall smoothness and richness of the music rather than on speed or the sharpness of high frequencies, and depending on the genre or listening style, it may feel a bit gentle. For those who prioritize the crispness and quick attack of sound, this might seem like a slightly different approach, but it is also a unique aspect of IGBT amplifiers, contributing to a natural flow of sound that is less fatiguing to listen to.
Overall, IGBT amplifiers can be said to be the type of amp that balances power and smoothness, accurately conveying the warmth and texture of music. They pair well with genres such as classical, jazz, and vocals, and are particularly suitable for listening styles that want to immerse deeply in the music.
The four types of semiconductors mentioned above are the culmination of semiconductor technology playing an important role in high-performance audio equipment. These technologies have become indispensable elements in modern high-end audio equipment, providing a richer and clearer musical experience. The unique characteristics of each semiconductor allow listeners to enjoy subtle differences in sound quality and achieve an ideal audio experience.

Overwhelming Sound Quality and High Precision
The AMP-8510A, with a 10W output at an 8Ω load, has a distortion of only 0.025% at 1W, and its frequency response covers an astonishing range from 10Hz to 100kHz. Moreover, it has the remarkable ability to pass sine waves up to 1MHz, rendering musical details with breathtaking clarity.

Overwhelming Driving Power with Direct Coupling Design
The most notable feature of the AMP-8510A is that the output semiconductors are directly connected to the speakers without anything in between. This design is not achievable with complementary push-pull (PP) circuits. The output is 10W, and the bias current is 1.8A. Due to the characteristics of a Class A single-ended design, a relatively large bias current is required. Thanks to this direct coupling design:Even with SATRI-LINK connections that transmit current signals, subtle nuances of sounds that were previously inaudible can now be clearly reproduced. The benefits of direct coupling further bring out the delicate details of music, allowing for an unprecedentedly deep sound experience.

Precise Control with Digital ATT
With a digital ATT (attenuator) using long-life relays, precise gain adjustment in 0.5dB steps is possible. The attenuation amount is displayed numerically, allowing intuitive volume setting, making it easy to achieve an ideal volume balance.

Detailed sound with SATRI-LINK
Equipped with the SATRI-LINK for current signal input, connecting it to DACs, phono amps, or preamps from Bakoon Products / SCL allows you to obtain the ultimate level of information. You will be able to rediscover the depth of music.

Perfect speaker control and short delay time
The speaker control damping factor (DF) is very stable at 72.7 at 1W, 72.7 at 5W, and 57.1 at 10W, optimally controlling the speakers. Furthermore, with an extremely short delay time of 25 ns (nanoseconds), signal processing is extremely fast, enabling high-speed playback.
