Headphone Amplifier Specially Designed for VR Goggles
The VHA-5240A is a headphone amplifier developed for VR goggles, which now allow you to easily enjoy 3D visuals.
By increasing the amount of auditory information and improving precision in the world of Virtual Reality (VR), VR viewing becomes even more realistic. It accurately reproduces surround sound without any time lag. The flat phase characteristics, which emphasize the localization of binaural recordings used in VR, clearly reproduce direction and distance, adding even more realism to the virtual world.
Depending on the model of VR goggles, the earphone output may be stereo or separate mono channels for left and right. To accommodate both types, the amplifier is equipped with stereo input/output as well as separate mono input/output for left and right channels. The case uses a conductive carbon-mixed filament to prevent induction noise.
Moreover, its compact and lightweight design allows you to easily carry it in a bag or pocket, so you can enjoy it as a portable headphone amplifier.
From the virtual world to the real world
The built-in amplifier in VR goggles places a load on the use of earphones. The greater the load, the more adverse effects occur, such as increased distortion, degraded transient response, and longer delay times. The VHA-5240A precisely controls the bias current to maximize the amount of information and improve accuracy. Furthermore, by expanding the bandwidth and using a non-feedback circuit without negative feedback, it eliminates transient distortions such as TIM distortion and minimizes delay time to the extreme, thereby removing phase distortion and accurately expressing the localization of surround sound. As a result, when the VHA-5240A is connected to the earphone output of the goggles, the load during earphone use is reduced to about 1/100 to 1/300, preventing deterioration in performance. It extracts a pure signal without performance degradation and drives earphones with a precise driver circuit. This allows the accurate reproduction of phase and timing information necessary for VR, making it possible to realistically recreate the world of virtual reality.
