Bring more reality to the sound!

Headphone amplifier for VR goggles

Description

The VHA-5240A is a headphone amplifier developed for VR goggles, which can now easily enjoy 3D images.

By increasing the amount of auditory information in the VR (Virtual Reality) world and improving the accuracy, VR viewing can become more realistic. The surround sound used is reproduced accurately, precisely, and without time deviation. The sense of direction and distance are clearly reproduced, such as the flat phase characteristics that emphasize the localization of binaural recordings used in VR, adding a further sense of reality to the virtual reality world.

Depending on the model of VR goggles, there are goggles with stereo earphone output and goggles with mono output on the left and right separately, so in addition to stereo input and output, there are separate mono inputs and outputs on the left and right so that they can be used for each. The case is made of conductive carbon-laced filament to prevent induced noise.
In addition, taking advantage of its small size and light weight, you can enjoy it as a headphone amplifier that can be easily carried in a bag or pocket.

From the virtual world to the real world

The amplifier built into the VR goggles is a burden to use the earbuds. The heavier the load, the more adverse effects are caused, such as increased distortion, worsening transient characteristics, and worsening delay times. The VHA-5240A maximizes the amount of information and improves accuracy by precisely controlling the bias current. Furthermore, by expanding the bandwidth to create a non-feedback circuit that does not apply negative feedback, it is possible to eliminate transient distortion such as TIM distortion and minimize time delay, thereby eliminating phase distortion and accurately expressing surround localization. As a result, when the VHA-5240A is connected to the earbud output of the goggles, the load when using the earbuds is reduced by about 1/100 to 1/300, and the deterioration of characteristics can be prevented. It extracts a pure signal with no deterioration of characteristics and drives the earbuds with a precise driver circuit. This makes it possible to precisely reproduce the phase and time information required in VR, and to realistically reproduce the world view of virtual reality.
