PT140EI isThis is an over-spec linear transformer power supply that uses a large transformer carefully hand-wound one by one by Kennetn Wong, who is hailed as a transformer master in high-end DIY audio in Hong Kong. Using a large EI hand-wound core transformer, it supports up to 4A with a maximum of 4 ports.

Models with 15-24V specifications are designed to be used in equipment for amplifying and converting music signals, such as amplifiers and DACs, so when used in equipment that constantly consumes a large amount of current, such as switching hubs, HDDs, and routers used in network audio, the output may stop due to heat generated by the regulator.

When designing the 5-12V specification, we reduced the heat loss that occurs during voltage conversion with the regulator by providing a dedicated 12V and 5V tap on the secondary side of the transformer, and further improved the allowable current value by connecting two regulators in parallel. The 5-12V specification is compatible with amplifiers, DACs, network audio equipment, etc. It is also now possible to use it in constant current equipment. When used with a 5V DAC, it eliminates noise from the upstream of the signal, ensuring the SN ratio and sound purity of the entire system.

*The PT140EI you purchase will be shipped from the manufacturer in accordance with the audio equipment you plan to use. If the error is within 10%, the settings are acceptable. Switching power supplies are generally 5V, 12V, 15V, and 24V, but we offer fixed outputs according to the input voltage within this range. Although the input voltage is 100v to 120v, the output DC voltage is fixed for all.

Regarding the '2.1 terminal' on the back, this is a dedicated terminal for customers who own Sofuto's other model, the PT-70, and is not functional on the regular PT-140.
Additionally, following changes to the casing specifications by the manufacturer, the current model is shipped with the 2.1 terminal disabled.

DC Cable Using NEGLEX OFC Conductor

We offer DC cables that use Mogami shielded wire with NEGLEX OFC conductors from Mogami Electric Wire, delivering pure power directly to your amplifier or DAC.
By using the internal two cores for positive and the external shield for GND, the cable has a coaxial structure, making it even more resistant to external noise.
