Newly designed MAOP11MS speaker system that brings out a delicate, musical mono-suspension sound
The MAOP11_MS has achieved unprecedented realism with the acoustic performance created by its unique single-suspension design. In the early stages of development, the high failure rate was an issue due to the difficulty of monosuspension assembly, but after improving the manufacturing process, we finally succeeded in commercializing it. The sound produced by this innovative driver unit is as immersive as if the music is playing right in front of you, and once you hear it, you will be drawn into its profound charm.
MAOP(Micro-Arc Oxidation Process)
MAOP treatment is a process in which crystals are created by oxidizing the surface of an aluminum-magnesium cone over a long period of time in a solution in an alkaline electrolyzer at a very high voltage (700 V). The effect is that this crystal dumps the resonant wave of sound, which is said to be 10% of the sound that passes through the surface of the cone, which was originally made of metal. In conventional metal cones, the microresonance pattern that passes through this surface is transmitted directly to the frame, but this MAOP treatment achieves a damping effect similar to that of pulp cones in the metal cone itself, which was not possible until now. This is the reason why it achieves a very flat frequency response and is said to be a "quiet, silky smooth audio driver".
MAOP11v2 upgrades the driver unit to MAOPMS.Like the MAOP11v2, it features a top-of-the-line voice coil made of pure copper rectangle wire specifically for this model. The advantages of this coil are that it can reduce weight by tens of percent for the same magnetic force, linear resistance, and suppressed self-resonance.The suspension is softer. The low frequencies have become more dynamic, and the ability to express the fine frequencies of the mid and high frequencies has been improved.
Paulownia hidden behind the front baffle (Paulownia)
You can see that the color of the second layer of the bass reflex port is reddish.
This is a Japan paulownia wood for musical instruments obtained at a woodworking shop, so when I tried to make a prototype, it sounded very musical, so I changed it from cherry to solid cedar paulownia wood.
Solid paulownia wood is luxuriously attached to the entire back of the baffle surface.
The paulownia material has a unique and captivating sound quality. However, due to its softness and lightness, it is generally not very common as a material for enclosures.
I was surprised when I listened to it, but I think that it will be good and reduce the disadvantages when used in combination with walnut and maple wood, which have a heavy specific gravity due to the high DF.
The expression of whole tones and overtones is very attractive.
Non-magnetic gold-plated OFC single wire is used for internal wiring
It is hidden in the enclosure and is very short compared to the speaker cable, but the sound changes drastically in this last mile.
In order to maximize the best of MAOP11 and solid wood, we used two fully non-magnetic gold-plated OFC 0.7mm single-stranded wires made by Amtrans as positive and negative respectively (the industry's only fully non-magnetic plated fluoropolymer PFA coating).
Compared to conventional internal wiring, the expressiveness of the sound in the details has been improved, as if the veil has been removed.
Oval Bass Reflex Port
The sound of a bass reflex is bright, energetic, and a complete way of designing a speaker system.
On the other hand, there are those who prefer the sober but smooth characteristics of the acoustic suspension type and the gentle characteristics to the ultra-low range.
Therefore, in order to suppress the attenuation of the steep ultra-low frequency of the bass reflex, an oval structure is adopted by layering solid wood, and the resonant frequency is set low and the resonant frequency is lowered to 35 Hz. I aimed for the "best of both worlds" of the bass reflex and the seal.It is designed for a bass reflex with an adult tone that is close to a closed type. Version 2 adjusts the length of the bass reflex port to improve the sound pressure of 40~45Hz by about 1.5dB.
Golden Ratio
The Golden Ratio enclosure, which has been tuned through repeated auditions, is made of walnut or maple wood on both sides of the baffle plate, and is designed to blend naturally with the modern living room and look like the finest furniture.
Xmax8.0
The two types of solid wood (hard maple and walnut) have different tones.
It's a bit of a difficult task to express this difference, but...
The hard maple wood does not attenuate in the high frequencies, so it rises very well and the reverberation rises well. It is recommended for genres that are sharp and contrasting.
Walnut is ideal for classical music in halls that make use of reverberation.
Walnut is plump and gives a sense of warmth to the sound, and hard maple is focused so that the feel of the cymbals is decided and the throat of the trumpet can be seen in front of you.
Each of them has a contrasting sound.
We will do our best to maintain common sense pricing so that you can enjoy your favorite genre and music.
Please choose it in coordination with the design of the room.
The beauty of the Nature Collection series is more beautiful than the high-end furniture in the living room due to carefully selected materials and careful processing work by veteran craftsmen.
Difference Between NC11 and NC7
The difference in sound quality between the NC11 and NC7 is that the NC7 is better at delicate expressions than the NC11, making it ideal for those who want to listen to chamber music on stringed instruments. On the other hand, the NC11 demonstrates its true value for grand spatial expressions, such as classical concerts in large halls and church organ performances.
The maximum input is 20W for the NC7 unit, but the tolerance increases to 30W as it fits in the enclosure. Since the NC11 unit is 35W, the actual maximum input is about 45W.
Mark Audio's speakers are designed and adjusted so that you can not only watch them in front of the audio set, but also move around and enjoy great sound even in an offset state, so they may appear inferior if you compare them with other products only by comparing the specs.
