Description

A major feature of Amphion speakers is the unique 5th generation U/D/D waveguide. The large waveguide at the front of the tweeter shapes the high-frequency dispersion and naturally connects with the woofer, creating a wide sweet spot and a stable sound field.

All speakers are handmade in Finland, pursuing high quality through precise acoustic design and careful finishing. Amphion is known not only for home Hi-Fi use but also as studio monitors used in professional music production environments, valued for accurate sound imaging and natural spatial depiction.

Nordic refined design, ease of placement that fits well in a room, and clarity that portrays music transparently. Although Amphion is not yet widely known in Japan, it quietly and highly satisfactorily fulfills the essence sought in a speaker.

Product Concept

The Amphion Argon3LS is a floor-standing model that adds low-end extension unique to floor-standing speakers to the clear midrange, precise sound imaging, and natural connection of the bookshelf Argon3S.

With a 6.5-inch aluminum woofer and passive radiator configuration, it reproduces deep and tight bass beyond the cabinet size. It firmly supports the core of the music while maintaining a balance that does not cloud the nuances of vocals, strings, or wind instruments.

Amphion-style sound stage even near walls

The charm of the Argon3LS is its usability not only in large listening rooms but also in typical living spaces. Amphion's unique waveguide and low crossover point allow for natural sonic connections and create a three-dimensional sound stage that makes the speakers less conspicuous.

Rather than exaggerating the bass, it accurately adds the necessary fullness. It does not blur the contours of the sound image, allowing the depth of the stage and the distance of the instruments to appear natural. Therefore, not only with 2-channel audio but also with movies and live footage, you can enjoy the sense of unity of dialogue, music, and space.

The Argon3LS is highly praised in overseas reviews and from real users for its sound connectivity, spatial expression, natural midrange, and the low-end presence unique to floor-standing models.

In the Audiophiliac review by Steve Guttenberg, the smooth connection between low, mid, and high frequencies is highlighted, giving a sense of unity as if the sound were coming from a single driver, which is introduced as a major appeal of the Argon3LS. Amphion's unique waveguide and low crossover design are praised for creating a cohesive sound field that makes the presence of the drivers less noticeable.

In the official Amphion user story, Polish music lover Michal installed the Argon3LS as his 11th pair of speakers and calls them the most satisfying speakers he has ever used in his home. Especially the vocalsholographic soundstage, the separation of the instruments, the three-dimensional feel of the sound field, and the natural expression that makes it easy to listen for long periods of time are said to be impressive.
