The MarkAudio NC4 is a compact desktop speaker luxuriously made from solid spruce.
Spruce wood is known for its beautiful damping properties, often used for acoustic guitar tops and piano soundboards, giving richly nuanced, naturally fading sound. The edges are finished with traditional Japanese Arale joinery, creating an elegant appearance that complements your interior.
Designed to create a comfortable musical environment in your living room or on your desk, the speakers offer natural and sweet sound that does not tire your ears even during long listening sessions.

CHN40 — Rich bass and flat response unexpected from a small driver

The drivers used are MarkAudio CHN40. Despite being the company’s smallest driver, it offers surprisingly flat characteristics and excellent low-frequency performance. With a flexible U-shaped synthetic rubber edge, shallow cone shape, and optimally damped spider back suspension, they achieve a long stroke beyond what is expected from a 40mm driver. The result is a balanced, natural frequency response and rich bass even in near-field listening.

Silky smooth resonance from straight-grained solid spruce

The spruce used in NC4 is especially known for its beautiful sound decay.
Using solid wood and straight grain allows the overtones to develop smoothly and the reverberation to flow naturally, faithfully conveying the instrument’s nuances. The natural, soft tone is stress-free even during long listening periods, making it ideal for shared family spaces or as background music in workrooms—a model designed to blend seamlessly into everyday life.
Optional luxurious finishes combining double-dried larch and walnut are also available.
