The MAOP_11MS is the latest model based on Markaudio's Alpair11MS, the largest-diameter damperless unit, featuring the proprietary MAOP treatment. In addition to its inherently delicate expressive capabilities from the damperless design, the unique superior damping characteristics of the MAOP treatment have been combined to deliver an extremely smooth and musical sound.
Use of pure copper rectangular wire – acoustically optimized to the extreme
This unit is equipped with a specially designed voice coil using Rectangle Pure Copper Wire. Like a high-performance racing engine, it has been thoroughly optimized for lightness. A key feature of this coil is that it can reduce weight by several tens of percent compared to the same magnetic force, with many direct benefits to sound quality such as reduced linear resistance and suppression of self-resonance.
Additionally, the unit’s structure has been refined with a mix of fiberglass and ABS resin chassis. The magnet portion is covered with rubber to minimize the impact of resonance.

MAOP – High Electric Field Oxidation Crystallization Treatment
MAOP (Micro-Arc Oxidation Process) is a special oxidation crystallization treatment applied to the surface of aluminum-magnesium alloy cones. In this process, oxidation is carried out over a long period in an alkaline electrolytic bath under a high voltage of 700V, forming countless fine crystalline structures on the cone surface. This treatment transforms the cone surface into a unique crystalline texture with a subdued gloss. Crystals containing numerous tiny air bubbles are formed, which significantly affect the acoustic characteristics.
MAOP is not simply a coating, but a treatment that changes the cone itself. As a result, the cone's mass increases by less than 0.4%, making it much lighter compared to conventional coatings. Countless crystalline structures and micro air holes, resembling a sponge, can be observed. This precise structure maintains the rigidity of the metal while appropriately dispersing and absorbing vibrational energy, creating a damping effect similar to that of a pulp diaphragm. Consequently, extremely flat frequency characteristics and a quiet, transparent sound quality are achieved.
