MAOP processing model for Markaudio maximum caliber
New 8 inch metal corn full range
MAOP_11MS is the latest model with its own MAOP processing based on the Alpair11MS that boasts the maximum caliber as a damperless unit of Markaudio. In addition to the original damperless design with delicate expressiveness, the superior dumping characteristics unique to MAOP merged to achieve a very smooth and musical sound.
Adopting pure copper rectangle wire - acoustic design pursued to the extreme
This machine is equipped with a dedicated voice coil using the Rectangle Pure Copper Wire. It has been thoroughly reduced weight like a high-performance racing engine. The feature of this coil is that it can be lightened by several tens of percent to the same magnetic force, and there are many advantages directly linked to sound quality improvement, such as reducing linear resistance and suppressing self-resonance.
In addition, the structure of the unit is particular, and a mixed chassis of glass fiber and ABS resin is adopted. The magnet has a rubber cover to minimize the impact of resonant sound.
Thorough support for fluid design on the back, which tends to be overlooked
Many theories have been incorporated into the enclosure design, but the fluid characteristics of the speaker unit itself tend to be downplayed. The MAOP_11MS also focuses on this point and adopts a design based on fluid dynamics. Maximize the potential of the unit and provide surprisingly natural and transparent sound.
Highly rated audio events
The prototype was released as a listener at audio events in Japan and received high praise from dedicated listeners. The delicate expressiveness of conventional Alpair11MS adds a braking force unique to MAOP, realizing smooth and rich music playback. It attracts a lot of interest as a model that further expands the potential of full range drivers.
MAOP - Strong field oxide crystallization
The MAOP (Micro-Arc Oxidation Process) is a special oxidation crystallization treatment on the surface of a cone made of aluminum magnesium alloy. In this process, oxidation progresses for a long time in a solution of an alkaline electrolytic tank with a high voltage of 700 V, forming countless fine crystal structures on the surface of the cone. By applying this treatment, the cone surface changes to a unique crystal structure that reduces gloss. Crystals containing countless fine bubbles are formed, which greatly affect acoustic properties.
MAOP is not just a coating but a process that changes the cone itself. Therefore, the mass increase of the cone is reduced to just under 0.4%, making it an overwhelmingly lightweight finish compared to the general coating. You can see countless crystals that look like sponges and fine air holes. This precise structure, while maintaining the rigidity of the metal, distributes and absorbs vibration energy moderately, creating a dumping effect like a pulp vibration plate. The result is extremely flat frequency characteristics and quiet and transparent sound quality.
