Non-standard wideband speaker unit

The world's first diaphragm material MAOP and Pluvia7HD drive unit for flat playback up to 37kHz

Description

It is an astonishing wideband speaker unit that exceeds the common sense of the performance of a full-range unit. The driver combines the high-performance drive engine of the MAOP cone and the Pluvia 7HD in the vein of the former Alpair7 in a fiberglass chassis of the latest design.

MAOP7 is designed to be ideal for a general 12~20 tatami mat environment, and reproduces original sound with a very delicate, dynamic, and speedy feeling.

Voice coil with Rectangular Wire

The MAOP_7v2 uses rectangle copper wire for the voice coil, and the conversion efficiency in the magnetic field is about 30% more efficient than that of the round wire, so the drive weight (MMD) can be reduced, and the mid-range eddy current can be reduced, and the coil can be designed with fewer folded parts and a larger surface area, contributing to the sound quality of the MAOP7v2 over the entire range.

In addition, the reduction of eddy currents in the mid-range and the design of a large surface area with fewer coil folds contribute to the sound quality of the MAOP_7v2 over the entire range.

MAOP(Micro-Arc Oxidation Process Cone)
Strong electric field oxidation crystallization process

The matte glossy surface is a feature of the MAOP series, and this is the name of the surface treatment.

This process refers to the process of immersing an alloy cone in a solution in an alkaline electrolyzer with a very strong voltage (700V) for a long time (1~2 weeks) to oxidize the surface and produce crystals. By adopting this treatment, the surface of the cone changes to a crystalline body with countless flexible bubbles (many holes) as shown in the photo (this method changes the cone itself and is not a coating, so there is almost no mass increase)

You can see countless small crystalline bodies and air holes that look like the surface of a sponge. The piles of metal and air holes created after the process of several weeks make the reproduced sound natural.

This is a groundbreaking invention that achieves a damping effect similar to that of a pulp diaphragm on a metal diaphragm, thanks to a new material that dumps in a cone where micro-resonance patterns occur through this surface, resulting in characteristics that span a very flat wide bandwidth, which is why it is referred to as a quiet driver.
