A small unit can change the density of the music

A small vibration system creates a surprisingly natural musical expression

Description

The Alpair5v3SS Rectangular is one answer to Markaudio's long-standing question: "How sensitive can a full-range speaker be?"
Although it is large enough to fit in the palm of your hand, the air quality changes the moment you make a sound. It's not an increase in sound, it's a feeling that something you haven't heard before will appear naturally.

The idea of Pure Single Suspension

At the core of the Alpair5 series is the concept of Pure Single Suspension.
This structure does not use dampers or magnetic fluids (ferrofluid). The only thing that stops the music signal is the air resistance in the enclosure. As a result, the unit moves extremely freely. From the rise of the strings at the moment of plucking, to the subtle changes in the throat of the vocalist, to the humidity of the breath touching the lips—the human senses can detect the difference before they even think about reasoning.

The change brought about by the 3rd generation Rectangular Voice Coil

The most significant evolution of the v3SS Rectangular is the use of flat-angle (Rectangular) pure copper voice coils.
Conventional v2SS uses aluminum deposition copper wire that pursues extreme lightness. It produced a phenomenal response, but it also tended to bring the energy forward a bit towards the higher frequencies. Compared with round wires with the same cross-sectional area, flat-angle pure copper wire has a higher driving efficiency in the magnetic field, and sufficient driving force can be ensured even if the number of turns is reduced. As a result, while maintaining the lightness of MMS 1.9g, the tone is more natural and smoother.
The softness unique to pure copper and the resolution unique to SS construction intersect beautifully here.

MMS 1.9g produces "speed" and "aftertaste" of sound

MMS is a number that represents the "weight" of the part of the speaker that actually moves. The lighter this weight, the faster the sound will rise and not drag unnecessary movements. The MMS of the Alpair5v3SS Rectangular is only 1.9g. It is worth mentioning that this figure is achieved while using a metal cone. Light means fast reaction. Fast also means that the sound does not remain longer than necessary. As a result, the attack rises clearly, the aftertaste is not muddy, and it disappears on its own. It's not flashy, but the more you continue to listen to it, the more comfortable it accumulates, and the flow of the music itself becomes easy to get used to your body.

Shallow Cone creates a natural spread

The Alpair5v3SS Rectangular has a shallow cone shape typical of Markaudio.
Deep and thick cones are excellent for mass production, but when the volume is increased, incidental sounds tend to be added to the midrange and more directional. Shallow cones are difficult to design and manufacture. Still, Markaudio continues to choose because it focuses on playback where the music comes naturally, no matter where you are in the room.

What I want you to experience is not "sound", but "feeling"

The Alpair5v3SS Rectangular is not a unit that surprises with its sonic power or volume.
However, once they know this delicacy, many people cannot go back. Even at a low volume, the music is well established. It is a full range that quietly but surely tells you that.

T/S parameters are basic figures that indicate how a unit moves and serve as a guideline for enclosure design.
It is the overall balance, rather than the numbers themselves, that determines the character of the sound.
