The general speaker unit has two suspension mechanisms: edge and damper (spider) to support the movement of the vibration plate. However, Alpair 11MS adopts its own single suspension design and eliminates dampers. By supporting the vibration plate with only the edge, smooth operation and overwhelming resolution are realized.
This design makes the movement of the vibration plate more free and reproduces faithfully to the nuances of fine sounds. Because there is no loss due to damper, the sound rises fast and produces sound with natural sound and spread. On the other hand, the voice coil and frame are designed with high rigidity to ensure stability during amplitude. This improves the controllability at the time of large input, which is considered a single suspension challenge, and realizes unbreakable regeneration.
In addition, the Alpair 11MS adopts the Xmax 8mm long stroke design. In general home use, it is possible to reproduce rich and deep bass sound while suppressing unnecessary low range excess amplitude.
