The LINLAI (Lin Lai) 845 DG is a new series of power tubes that completely renews the acoustic characteristics and structure of the conventional 845. While still using the traditional graphite screen pole, this series introduces a hooked-filament design for the first time. By keeping the filament relaxed during operation, it achieves more transparent, delicate, and subtle sound.

Breathtakingly calm and commanding performance

Thanks to the combination of graphite screens and hooked filaments, the 845 DG offers an elegant, realistic, and breathtakingly calm performance. In addition to the stability of the traditional 845, it gains the delicacy and charm akin to 300B or WE212. It produces a fresh, naturally beautiful, accurate sound with rich overtones, creating a welcoming and immersive atmosphere.

High heat dissipation and thermal stability

By equipping three heatsinks on both sides of the screen pole, it achieves extremely high heat dissipation and thermal stability. Electron emission capacity and operational lifespan have been significantly improved. To reproduce sound stage and atmosphere accurately, the glass envelope diameter is enlarged, and the filament is supported with mica rings, showing meticulous attention to detail that supports stable performance.

Sound characteristics

It eliminates the overly stable low frequencies and the “introverted” impression in the highs often felt in conventional 845s. The sound remains clear, adding adult stability and delicacy, ensuring the listener never gets bored.

The traditional 845 billet differs both in sound and feel, and even with a luxurious 'body,' it can feel like a 'downgrade.' The 845-DG, which uses hook & eye filaments, exudes an elegant, realistic, and approachable atmosphere. Its freshness, natural beauty, precise sound, playing style, appearance, finish, harmonics, and breathtakingly dignified yet calm performance are truly outstanding. If conventional traditional 845s generally have overly stable low frequencies, somewhat less masculine midrange, and slightly 'introverted' highs, this 845 feels much more balanced. Many audio enthusiasts appreciate the distinctive 'delicate' and 'whisper-like' mid-to-high range of 300B or WE212 tubes, but this 845 goes beyond that, adding a sense of mature stability and charm that never tires the listener.
