The silence of natural stone and the sparkle of pure silver
Light, clear sound and meticulous detail; the unique Tru-stone body brings unprecedented resolution and detail
Product Concept
In the AIDAS lineup, the "SILVER PL (silver-plated) series" represents a new step in evolution. At its core, the MALACHITE SILVER features a body made of "Tru-stone," which has the gemstone-like beauty. By combining the extremely low electrical resistance of silver-plated coils with the superior vibration damping characteristics unique to stone, it achieves overwhelming reproduction that renders even the highest audio spectrum without muddiness.

Main Features
-
Tru-stone Body: An innovative material that combines the rigidity and beauty of natural stone
The vivid green body reminiscent of malachite uses "Tru-stone," made by solidifying more than 85% natural stone powder with resin. By uniting hardness comparable to stone with the unique damping characteristics of resin, it thoroughly eliminates unwanted resonances, the arch-enemy of cartridges, and fully brings out the music's dynamism. -
6N Silver-Plated Copper Coil: Shining expression achieved through extreme low resistance
The coil uses wire made of 6N pure copper with impurities minimized to the extreme, and plated with high-quality silver. Silver's superior conductivity transmits delicate tiny signals without loss, reproducing transparent highs and a clear soundstage. -
Unique Technology: Double Suspension and Shortest Signal Path
Like all AIDAS cartridges, it features proprietary "Double Suspension Technology," achieving excellent tracking ability and low distortion. Additionally, the connection pins are placed near the coil to minimize signal loss. -
Carefully Designed Terminals: 24K Gold Pressed (Brass Base)
The terminal pins adopt a "24K gold press process," which forms a layer of gold much thicker than ordinary plating. This is a specification that Mr. Aidas insists on, contributing to long-term stable conductivity and further enhancing the "richness" of sound quality.
AIDAS: Mounting Style and Compatibility
-
Bolt-On Thread Method
The body of the AIDAS cartridge is precisely threaded (M2.5). Without using nuts, it can be smartly mounted from above with only bolts, greatly reducing the mounting stress when handling expensive cartridges. -
Half-Inch Mount
Adopts the globally standard 12.7mm spacing screw holes. Compatible with head shells from various manufacturers, it is designed to be highly versatile.

World-Renowned Sound Quality Recognition
Stereonet "Product of the Year 2025" Award Winner, Phono Cartridge Category
Aidas Cartridges Malachite Silver MC has been awarded **'Product of the Year 2025'** in the phono cartridge category by the UK's major audio specialist media outlet, Stereonet.
The reviewer conducted long-term listening tests over several months using a full-scale system consisting of a VPI Primary turntable, JMW 10 3D tonearm, YBA Genesis PH1 phono stage, Gryphon pre/power amplifier, and Audiovector R6 Arreté speakers. When compared to powerful competitors in the same price range, such as Hana Umami Red, Ortofon, and Lyra, it was stated explicitly that "it is more direct than the characteristic sound of Ortofon and has more body and richness than Hana." In particular, the reviewers highly praised the well-developed texture from the upper midrange to the lower midrange and the tonal consistency across the entire frequency range.
On Portishead's live album, it perfectly reproduced the atmosphere of the hall with deep bass and expansive spatial expression. On the Esbjörn Svensson Trio live album, it achieved stage-accurate imaging and provided such immersion that it was described as "like listening from a better seat than the actual concert." In Max Richter's arranged Vivaldi, the orchestra's string instruments sounded "astonishingly communicative," demonstrating the skillful handling of delicate high frequencies. Furthermore, even on heavily used Iron Maiden heavy metal records, it was reported that it "wonderfully connected the remaining music, and the narrated sections were heard clearer than ever before."
"An honest sound that is sweet without being smeared, yet never harsh" — the triad of dynamics, resolution, and groove tracking is complete, concluding that "if your budget allows, this is a cartridge you should definitely add to your audition list."

Positioning within the same brand
Compared to the Durawood (CU series) of the same brand, while Durawood emphasizes the depth of the instrument's tone, the Malachite Silver adds energy and drive to that tone. The low range is tight yet articulate, and the balance across all frequency bands is very coherent. There is a noticeable step up in microdynamics and power, bringing the tempo and liveliness of the music more to the forefront.
Sound Character and Notes:
The imaging is outstanding, and in live recordings, the positioning of the instruments stands out. It is also highly regarded for its ability to faithfully extract musical information from the grooves, even on records in poor condition. Before breaking in, there is a slightly forward hard edge, which naturally resolves with use.
