Condensing the natural resonance of wood to the extreme
High-rigidity wood body model that captures the subtle expressions of music
Product Concept
Precision pure copper coil and unique double suspension structure
In AIDAS's "COPPER (CU) Series," the most musically balanced model is this "DURAWOOD." The body material uses a special composite in which natural wood is ultra-high-pressure compressed to one-tenth of its original thickness. While retaining the beautiful resonance unique to wood, it attains extremely high rigidity and density comparable to metals or stone.
This robust body rapidly dampens unwanted resonance occurring inside the cartridge. It converts the information engraved on the record without any distortion into the rich sound of the pure copper coil.

Main Features
Ultimate Wood Material: Durawood Body
"Durawood," made by layering natural wood and compressing it under ultra-high pressure, boasts hardness and stability unattainable by ordinary wooden bodies. By thoroughly eliminating resonance, the sound attacks sharply, achieving a balance of richness typical of a wood body with modern high-speed sound.
Freshness through 6N pure copper coil and shortest signal path
The coil uses high-purity 6N copper (0.03mm). By designing the connection pins as close to the coil as possible, information loss due to internal wiring is prevented, achieving overwhelming sound freshness.
Brass connection pins with 24K gold press processing
The connection terminals use "24K gold press processing," which has a much thicker layer of gold than general plating. This ensures excellent conductivity and long-term durability, supporting a sound full of energy in the mid to low ranges.
Boron cantilever × Micro Ridge Stylus
The vibration system is equipped with a high-performance boron cantilever and micro-ridge stylus from Namiki (Adamant Namiki). Its astonishing tracing ability accurately picks up even the minuscule signals deeply engraved in the grooves.
AIDAS: Mounting Style and Compatibility
-
Bolt-on threaded type
The body of the AIDAS cartridge has precision threading (M2.5). It can be installed smartly from the top with only bolts, without using nuts, greatly reducing installation stress when handling expensive cartridges. -
half inch mount
Adopts screw holes with 12.7mm spacing, which is the world standard. It is compatible with head shells from a variety of manufacturers and has a highly versatile design. -
Optimized for tonearm
The balance between dead weight and appropriate stylus pressure has been optimized to maximize the original performance of AIDAS in many modern "medium mass tone arms". -
24k gold press pin
Adopts an output pin with 24-karat gold press on a brass base. It is resistant to oxidation due to aging, and permanently maintains the freshness of the signal at the point of contact with the lead wire for a long time.

HiFiAdvice reviewu
In the Netherlands, the highly regarded audio specialty media outlet "HiFi Advice" published an extremely positive review of the Aidas Cartridges Durawood MC.
The reviewer conducted listening tests with a high-end system consisting of an Origin Live Calypso Mk4 turntable, Illustrious tonearm, and CH Precision A1.5 amplifier. After comparing it with well-established competitors such as the Denon DL304 and DL207, and Audio Technica AT-150mlx, they stated, "The difference in resolution is not significant, but the differences in transparency, neutrality, texture, and timbre are obvious." They even mentioned, "Denon and Audio Technica sound slightly synthetic."
With Azymuth's analog recordings, they experienced a "vitality that transports you back to a live concert," and on the Art Of Noise album, it brought out a "magical texture never heard on CDs or digital files." Ultimately, the reviewer concluded: "It redefined the benchmark in accuracy, articulation, purity, transparency, dynamics, sharpness, and balance. In particular, the precision and articulation of the low range are astonishingly excellent, and its presentation is incredibly convincing and captivating."
"No harsh edges, rich texture, extremely natural"—these words encapsulate the deep impression this cartridge leaves.
