AIDAS PANZERHOLZ
The richest pure copper sound played by the strongest bulletproof wood, "Panzerholz"
Product Concept
AIDAS's "COPPER (CU) Series" is a model that adopts pure copper coils, which are at the core of the brand's sound development. Among them, this unit uses "Panzerholz" for the body material. This special wood composite, boasting ultra-high density and high rigidity with bulletproof performance, thoroughly suppresses unnecessary vibrations of the cartridge and fully brings out the dynamism of music.

Main Features
■ Original Hybrid Material: Panzerholz Body
The German-made special wood composite "Panzerholz" combines the natural resonance of wood with hardness comparable to stone. This material optimally controls the "resonance," the biggest enemy for MC cartridges. It simultaneously achieves rich low frequencies and clear, undistorted mid-to-high frequencies.
■ 6N Pure Copper Coil and Shortest Signal Path Design
The coil uses 6N pure copper with impurities reduced to the extreme. Additionally, with a unique design that extends the connection pins as close to the coil as possible, deterioration from internal wiring is minimized. This dramatically improves the freshness and information of the sound.
■ 24K Gold-Pressed Connection Pins
The terminal pins are finished with "24K gold pressing (brass base)," forming a much thicker gold layer than standard plating. This is Mr. Aidas's meticulous specification, contributing to stable long-term conductivity and further "thickness" in sound quality.
■ Traditional Alnico 5 Magnet × Boron Cantilever
An Alnico 5 magnet is used in the generator, and a lightweight, high-rigidity Namiki boron cantilever with a micro-ridge stylus is used in the vibration system. With extremely accurate tracking ability, it precisely extracts the minute signals engraved on records.
AIDAS: Mounting Style and Compatibility
-
Bolt-on thread system
The main body of the AIDAS cartridge features precise threading (M2.5). Without using a nut, it can be smartly mounted using only a bolt from the top, significantly reducing installation stress when handling expensive cartridges. -
Half-Inch Mount
Uses the globally standard 12.7mm spaced screw holes. Compatible with headshells from various manufacturers, making it a highly versatile design. -
Optimization for Tonearms
The balance between self-weight and appropriate tracking force is optimized to allow AIDAS to perform at its best with many modern "medium-mass tonearms." -
24K Pressed Pin
Uses output pins pressed with 24K gold on a brass base. Resistant to oxidation over time, ensuring long-lasting signal clarity at the contact point with lead wires.
For those who want to feel the depth of low-end immersion and the heat of music directly, this is a reference model we confidently recommend.

Review published in HiFi Advice
In the Netherlands, the highly regarded audio specialty media outlet “HiFi Advice” published a highly positive review of the Aidas Cartridges Panzerholz MC.
The reviewer conducted an extensive listening test using a full-fledged system consisting of a Thorens TD160B with an Origin Live Onyx tonearm, Jeff Rowland Corus preamplifier, Jeff Rowland Model 6 mono power amplifiers, and Revel Ultima Salon speakers. They reported that switching from the SME arm to the Origin Live Onyx arm allowed the lows to become deeper and more powerful, and the acoustic persuasiveness of the midrange and the openness of the highs were perfectly balanced, revealing the true potential of this cartridge.
The feature that was repeatedly emphasized was its "powerful, dynamic, and astonishing transient characteristics." "From the first impression, it demonstrates exceptional low-level definition and astonishing detail reproduction while being far from clinical. The lows are articulate and crisp, the timbre extremely natural. Acoustic instruments sound truly as they should, and the wooden resonance of the piano feels genuinely alive," the review stated.
Components with fast transients often tend to sound thin, but "the Panzerholz delivers a full-bodied sound comparable to the best cartridges I've heard, yet it is faster, more agile, and more articulate than any of them — this rare combination is unbelievable unless experienced firsthand," the reviewer concluded.
