A unique design that captures the essence of music
Rare Mylar tweeter and robust MOREL woofer. Achieving a level of perfection beyond its size, it brings a new dimension of clarity to music.
Fidelix ARIETTA – A compact speaker that expresses music with crystal-clear clarity
The ARIETTA is a bookshelf speaker designed without compromise to reproduce music in natural balance. Despite its small size, it offers a wide soundstage and rich expressiveness, accurately bringing out even the most delicate nuances.
Fidelix has condensed years of expertise, paying meticulous attention to materials, structure, and network design.
Mylar diaphragm tweeter for transparency and luster
The starting point of ARIETTA’s sound design was the rare Mylar diaphragm tweeter. Today, Mylar tweeters are rarely seen in the market due to their material characteristics. They retain heat poorly and are prone to damage from incorrect high input, which is why many manufacturers avoid using them.
However, the sound is extraordinary. Mylar combines transparency with a supple luster, naturally reproducing the beautiful resonance of acoustic instruments and female vocals. Captivated by this quality, Fidelix placed the Mylar tweeter at the heart of the Arietta.

Choosing MOREL CAW538 for ideal bass
Another notable point in ARIETTA’s design is the search for a woofer that complements Mylar’s delicate tone while balancing rhythm and clarity.
The solution was the ISRAELI-MADE MOREL CAW538. Using a polypropylene diaphragm, this unit combines power and speed, achieving the ideal combination with the Mylar tweeter. Additionally, to maximize the driving force of the driver unit, a metal weight is added behind the speaker magnet. This suppresses unnecessary magnet vibrations and efficiently transfers energy to the diaphragm.
This “weight reinforcement” is also applied to the tweeter and is further firmly connected to the rear panel with a φ12mm steel rod. As a result, the overall rigidity of the enclosure is increased, delivering pure, clear sound free of distortions, and a sense of the sound seamlessly permeating the space.

Low-Frequency Design and Unique Bass Reflex Structure
The bass reflex system employs a “damped bass reflex” structure aimed at producing natural, tight, and precise sound while avoiding excessive resonance common in conventional designs. It balances the tightness of a sealed enclosure with the expansiveness of a bass reflex system.
Furthermore, a patented innovation has been applied to the bass reflex port. A structure that introduces air resistance behind the port suppresses excessive low-frequency boom. This idea was inspired by the "SuperTrapp" used in motorcycle mufflers.
In addition, a red triangular-hat-shaped diffuser is placed inside the port to disperse standing waves caused by reflections. This further enhances the transparency and speed of the low frequencies.

Cabinet and Internal Structure Innovations
The cabinet uses robust and sonically beautiful Finnish birch plywood. The finish is a durable, high-end urethane piano finish.
Inside, an original structure called “anti-node damping” is employed. Minimal sound-absorbing material is placed at the center of the cabinet to effectively suppress standing waves without compromising resonance. By avoiding excessive use of damping materials, the lively expression of the music is preserved.
Additionally, connecting rods wrapped in damping material link the left and right side panels, significantly strengthening the rigidity of the entire cabinet. These rods make the speaker’s response more precise and enhance the purity of its resonance.

Attention to Network and Components
The ARIETTA network prioritizes sound quality. Components are directly soldered onto a 3mm-thick glass epoxy PCB, eliminating the risk of poor contact. The crossover frequency is set at 5kHz. High-quality components such as air-core coils, Takman metal film resistors, and PPS film capacitors are used. Moreover, bi-wiring support and a ±1.5dB toggle switch allow for personalized sound adjustments.

Dedicated Speaker Stand (Optional)
To fully unleash the capabilities of the ARIETTA, a stand that ensures proper height and stability is indispensable.
The dedicated stand is designed to a height of approximately 600mm, perfectly aligning the speakers with ear level. Furthermore, the sandwich construction with steel plates ensures a weight of 10kg per side. Ceramic insulators are used at the bottom to block vibrations from transferring to the floor.
A gap of about 30mm is maintained between the speaker and the stand, supported by sturdy locking nuts, preventing unnecessary resonances that could compromise sound quality.

Sound Features
The Arietta captivates with its clear high tones from the Mylar tweeter, accurate low tones rendered by the MOREL woofer, and the natural midrange arising from their harmony.
Additionally, thorough vibration control and its unique structure allow the music's energy to be fully extracted, producing a clear sound image. Experience a transparency and vitality that surpasses the typical small speaker.
Extremely High Resolution and Clarity
- The first striking impression when listening to the ARIETTA is its exceptional resolution and clarity.
It faithfully reproduces subtle breaths and air movement within the source, revealing details that were previously hidden. The fidelity is reference-level, making the quality of the recording immediately apparent.
- The background is also very quiet, highlighting the low noise floor.
Thanks to the thorough suppression of unnecessary vibration from the units and cabinet, the sound is clear without muddiness, emerging from a pristine silence.
Neutral Tonality and Balance
- One of the major attractions is its lack of tonal coloration and its extremely neutral sound. There are no exaggerated frequency ranges or artificial colorings added, allowing the character of the connected amplifier or source to come through as it is.
- The balance across all frequencies is also very good, with a natural connection from the lows to the highs. This makes the soundstage reproduction very accurate, with sharp imaging of instruments and vocals. The sound is clear and the music as a whole is heard in an organized manner.
Transient Response and Low-End Control
- Another characteristic is the incredibly fast attack of the sound, giving music a sense of speed with its agile response. The attacks are defined and converge tightly, highlighting the rhythmic feel.
- The low end is not overly boosted, emphasizing tightness and control. It prioritizes accuracy over quantity, with no ambiguity, allowing the core of rhythms to be firmly felt.
