ARIETTA is a bookshelves speaker designed without any compromises to help music play in a natural balance. Although it is small, it has a wide sound field and rich expressiveness, and even gives a solid depiction of delicate nuances.

Myra diaphragm tweeter that brings transparency and luster

The starting point for creating sound for ARIETTA was in the rare Myra diaphragm tweeter. Currently, I rarely see Myra tweeters on the market, but the reason for this is the characteristics of the materials. Many manufacturers avoid using this product because it is difficult for heat to escape and can easily be damaged by incorrect large input.
But the sound is exceptional. Myra combines transparency and supple luster, naturally recreating the beautiful sound of acoustic instruments and female vocals. Fascinated by this texture, Fidelix put Myra Tweeter at the heart of Arietta.

Select MOREL CAW538 for your ideal low range

The process of finding a woofer that harmonizes with Myra's delicate tone and balances rhythm and clarity is also worth noting in ARIETTA's design.
The answer is the Israeli MOREL CAW538. Using a polypropylene diaphragm, this unit combines strength and speed, and has an ideal combination with the Myra Tweeter. In addition, iron column weights have been added to the rear of the magnet of the speaker unit to maximize the driving force of the driver unit. This reduces unnecessary magnet shaking and allows energy to be transmitted to the diaphragm without loss.
This "weight reinforcement" is also applied to tweeters, and a φ12mm steel rod firmly connects to the back plate. As a result, the overall rigidity of the box is increased, providing a high-purity sound with no impurities, and a feeling of the sound penetrating into the space.

Low-frequency design and unique bass reflex structure

The bass reflex system uses a "dumped bass reflex" structure that avoids the excessive resonance of the past and aims to provide a natural, sharp sound. It combines the tightness of the sealed type with the stretchiness of the bass reflex type in a balanced way.
Furthermore, the bass reflex port has been patented. A structure is provided on the back of the port to provide air resistance to suppress excessive bass bulging. This idea is inspired by the "Super Trap" used in motorcycle mufflers.
In addition, a red tricorner cap-shaped diffuser is placed inside the port to disperse standing waves caused by reflection. This further improves the transparency and speed of the low range.

Cabinet and internal structure ingenuity

The cabinet is made of Finnish birch plywood, which is sturdy and resonates. The paint is a urethane piano finish that is durable and luxurious.
The interior uses a unique structure called "anti-node damping." A minimal sound absorbing material is placed in the center of the box to accurately suppress standing waves without compromising the resonance. By not using excessive sound absorbing materials, the lively expression of the music is brought out.
Furthermore, the connecting rods wrapped around the sound-absorbing material connect the left and right side plates, greatly strengthening the rigidity of the entire cabinet. This single stick makes the speaker response more accurate and improves the purity of the sound.

Commitment to networks and parts

ARIETTA's network is sound quality first. Parts were soldered directly to a 3mm thick glass epoxy PCB to eliminate the risk of poor contact. The crossover frequency is set to 5kHz. High-quality parts are used, such as air core coils, Takuman metal film resistance, and PPS film capacitors. Furthermore, the bi-wiring support and the ±1.5dB toggle switch allow you to adjust the sound quality to your liking.

Dedicated speaker stand (optional)

A stand that ensures the right height and stability is essential to maximize ARIETTA's capabilities.
The dedicated stand is designed to be approximately 600mm tall and will accurately align the speaker with ear height. Furthermore, the iron plate sandwich structure ensures a weight of 10kg per side. A ceramic insulator is used at the bottom to block vibration transmission with the floor.
A space of approximately 30mm is provided between the speaker and the stand, and by supporting it using a strong bag nut, we have prevented unnecessary resonance that impairs sound quality.
