A small aria paints a vivid picture of the space.
Fidelix's first full-fledged 2-way speaker that condenses transparency and dynamism.
Fidelix ARIETTA — Delineate the contours and reverberations of music with clarity
ARIETTA is the first full-scale speaker system produced by Fidelix, which is known for its precision electronic circuit equipment such as phono EQ, DAC, preamplifier, and power amplifier.
The product name "ARIETTA" is a word that means "little aria" in Italian. Despite its compact size, it is designed to clearly depict the expression of the music, the movement of the melody, and the texture of the instrument.
Despite being a small 2-way speaker, we pursue a level of perfection that goes beyond being just a desktop speaker. Reduces muddy sound, fast transient response, achieves a high level of localization accuracy and musical naturalness.
Transparency and luster produced by a rare mylar diaphragm tweeter
At the heart of ARIETTA's sound creation is a mylar diaphragm tweeter with a short horn.
Tweeters with mylar diaphragms have become a minority in recent years, but their smooth and glossy high-frequency expression is a big attraction. Fidelix focused on the transparency and texture of this unit and adopted it as the core of ARIETTA's high frequency reproduction.
Furthermore, by removing the equalizer from the front of the tweeter, sound blurring is suppressed, and the necessary high-frequency expansion is carefully corrected on the network circuit side. While taking advantage of the unique characteristics of the material, it achieves natural and fresh high-frequency reproduction with less distortion and cloudiness.

MOREL CAW538 woofer provides agile and accurate bass
For the low range, we use Israeli-made MOREL CAW538. This woofer has a 127mm diameter polypropylene diaphragm, and the voice coil diameter is 75mm, which is extremely large for this size. Although it is a small speaker, it enables powerful and responsive low frequency reproduction.
To more accurately draw out the driving force of this woofer, Fidelix added a φ12mm iron rod to the back of the unit and firmly connected it to the back panel. This suppresses unnecessary vibrations of the unit itself and converts the movement of the diaphragm into sound more clearly.
This structure increases the rigidity of the entire enclosure, suppressing blurring of the sound image and unwanted incidental noise. Despite its compact size, it achieves playback with a clearly defined core of sound.

Achieving both tightness and extension with a special damped bass-reflex structure
ARIETTA adopts a "special damped bass-reflex" method, rather than a typical bass-reflex type, suppressing low-frequency swelling and excessive resonance.
The rear bass-reflex port is equipped with a red conical diffuser to reduce the influence from behind the opening. This suppresses unwanted reflections and peculiarities generated from the port, making the pitch and attack of the low frequencies clearer.
The low-frequency design is not simply about increasing bass, but about accurately depicting the rhythm and bass line of the music. It suppresses the swelling and vagueness often found in small speakers, providing controlled low frequencies.
High-rigidity cabinet with Finnish birch plywood and unique reinforcement
For the enclosure material, high-rigidity, resonant Finnish birch plywood is used. The coating is a durable, high-quality urethane gloss finish.
Inside, reinforcement connecting the left and right side panels is placed to effectively suppress box rattling. Additionally, by wrapping minimal sound-absorbing material around that reinforcement, vertical standing waves are addressed precisely.
Rather than killing the sound with a large amount of absorbent material, this structure suppresses only unnecessary muddiness while preserving the necessary resonance. This prevents over-damping and allows the musical expression to be vividly reproduced.
Crossover network configured with sound quality as the top priority
The crossover frequency is set to 5kHz. It enables a natural connection with the MOREL woofer while highlighting the texture of the mylar diaphragm tweeter.
The network board uses 3mm-thick glass epoxy PCB, with major parts directly soldered to reduce the risk of poor contact. High-quality components considered for sound quality, such as air-core coils, Takman Electronics metal film resistors, and PPS film capacitors, are generously utilized.
The input terminals support bi-wiring connections. Additionally, the rear panel is equipped with a toggle switch that allows you to adjust the tweeter level within the range of ±1.5dB, enabling fine-tuning according to the room's acoustics, the equipment used, and personal preference.
Achieve an even more precise soundstage with dedicated speaker stands
To maximize ARIETTA's capabilities, it is recommended to use stands that ensure proper height and stability.
The dedicated stands are designed to be approximately 600mm tall, making it easy to position the tweeters at ear level during listening. The heavy-duty construction, with steel plates sandwiched together, ensures a mass of about 10kg per side. Ceramic insulators are used at the bottom to suppress unwanted vibrations from the floor.
A gap of about 30mm is provided between the speaker and the stand, and a robust structure supported with bag nuts suppresses unnecessary resonance while bringing out ARIETTA's inherent speed and soundstage expression.
Clear and musical expression beyond the scope of compact speakers
ARIETTA's charm is not just high resolution. The sound has a fast attack, the bass does not overly swell, and the core of vocals and instruments stands out clearly.
With a mylar diaphragm tweeter offering transparent highs, a MOREL woofer delivering agile lows, and Fidelix’s thorough vibration control, all elements come together to express the nuance and spatial depth captured in recordings with natural balance.
From near-field to mid-range listening, the sound image stays focused, faithfully reflecting the characteristics of amps and source equipment. These compact, easy-to-handle speakers allow you to deeply engage with the essence of music.

From MJ magazine SOUND CHECK — Lively performance unfolds
In MJ Magazine's listening experience, the ARIETTA was described as ``Although there are limitations associated with a small-diameter woofer, it maintains a sound range up to the lowest notes of a contrabass, and accurately reproduces the texture and body rumble.''
What is particularly impressive is the skillful tuning of the low range. The low-tuned kick drum maintains just the right amount of tightness, rises easily, and brakes accurately. It is said that the vividness of the cymbals, the thrilling interplay of the trombone, and the front-back and localization of the piano trio are clearly depicted.
Also, when playing old analog sound sources, it is said to be able to provide a highly fresh sound and the delicate luster of stringed instruments. It's not just a small speaker, it's also a matter of the condition of the sound source and recording.holographic soundstageIt has been favorably featured as a highly complete Japanese-made speaker system that allows you to see through the details.
How to sound to clearly understand musical expression
Another listening review states that ARIETTA is suitable for near-field listening, and that by listening at a relatively close distance, you can better understand the depth of the sound field and the width of the left and right sides.
In Baroque music, there is a strong sense of unity among the units, and the sound field is in focus and extends deep.fast transient responseIt is evaluated that the lack of unnecessary resonance stands out. It is said to bring out the lustrous and delicate tones of ancient instruments without muddying them.
When it comes to piano, it is introduced that by adjusting the listening position appropriately, the focus will be focused and the music will be crisp. Another big appeal of ARIETTA is that it provides clear and dense expression without relying on excessive resonance or emphasis.
In an orchestra, the tones of the instruments are colorful and vivid, and the depth and perspective of the space are also clear. It has been praised as a speaker that has a quick start-up and a sense of energy, while also being able to carefully portray even the delicate facial expressions.
The sound that ARIETTA aims for
ARIETTA is not the type of speaker that exaggerates the low range to make it look bigger. Rather, it is the type that carefully adjusts the core of the music, the rise, the afterglow, and the outlook of the space, and brings out the information contained in the recording without too much or too little.
Despite its compact size, this is a highly balanced speaker system characteristic of Fidelix, combining precise sound imaging, controlled low frequencies, transparent high frequencies, and a musically dynamic quality with intellectual sophistication and a high level of completeness.
