Fidelix MITCHAKU Z Head Shell Straight Arm Effect

MITCHAKU Z is a head shell designed to be attached to a curved offset arm to achieve the same effect as a straight arm.

The shake (orientation) of the head shell can be attached either inward or outward depending on the shape and operating environment of the tone arm.

The SL-1200 series of technics, etc., does not move the arm to the last groove. Also, when using a stabilizer, it may be hit. In such cases, a cartridge is installed on the inner periphery.

To accommodate various arm angles, the long holes for cartridge mounting are designed to fine-tune the mounting angle of the cartridge by widening the width.

In the photo example, the effective length is 197mm and the pin side of the cartridge can be firmly directed to the arm's point. This structure is very strong coupled with the MITCHAKU structure because the mouth money and the cartridge merge simply at a short distance, and resonance is difficult to occur. The following is a graph calculating the recommended underhang from the distance between the center of the turntable and the center of the arm.

Lead wire material is PCOCCA. The head shell is 4mm thick of hard aluminum. The weight is 16g with lead wire, but since the effective length is shortened, the equivalent mass is 14g. It is assumed to use a digital needle pressure meter, but if it matches with the counter weight scale it will be set as low as 15%.
