The Emission Labs (EML) 300B vacuum tube is designed as a direct replacement for the original Western Electric E300B manufactured until 1988. The glass height and diameter are the same, fully preserving the warm sound quality and characteristics of the traditional 300B. • The first thing that surprised me when replacing with the EML 300B was the significantly increased drive power of the amplifier. Compared to traditional 300Bs, the low-end energy is solid, and you can immediately sense a “certain strength” in the sound. Even at high volumes, there is plenty of headroom, providing consistent drive throughout the sound.
