The Emission Labs 300B vacuum tube was designed as an alternative to the original Western Electric E300B manufactured by 1988, and the glass height and diameter are identical. This vacuum tube takes over the sound quality and characteristics of the traditional 300B, while also providing a modern high-quality acoustic experience.
Features and advantages
Stable sound quality and low distortion
EML's 300B are unique filaments and grid structures that provide extremely low hum noise and low distortion for most of its life. In particular, the gold-plated grid improves bias stability and maintains the degree of match for pairs.
Adaptability to speakers
The 300B is designed to place a medium load on the efficiency of the speaker, and because there is little interaction with the speaker, the sound quality is easily influenced by the characteristics of the vacuum tube itself. The EML 300B combines the high output and low distortion required by the amplifier in the vacuum tube to express the music without distortion.
Long life and durability
The EML 300B has a high expected lifetime and maintains stable performance, especially when the amplifier has a high load. Based on Western Electric's 1950 datasheet, EML also recommends maximum 36W dissipation power, but it recommends that normal operation not exceed this limit. It is recommended to consider EML 300B-XLS for operation under harsh conditions.
