Applies to 5Z3-Mesh and 5U4G-Mesh, which are electrically identical except for the socket.5U4G-Mesh is used as an Octal Socket socket and only 5 pins of it are used (one of them is not electrically connected).5Z3-Mesh uses a 4-pin UX4 socket.
Note that EML tubing is slightly larger in size than conventional tubing.Like most NOS rectifiers, the EML rectifier is a slow-start tube, which provides some protection for the power supply and the overall amplifier.The delay time for the first function is 2 seconds and the maximum current delay is 7 seconds.
A special element for stabilizing the heater voltage is included inside the tube glass.These elements increase resistance at higher currents and help protect the heater from accidental overvoltages.
