Golden Dragon 5881 is a beam power tube with a similar character to 6L6 series. The classic 5881 standard has a smaller tolerance loss than 6L6GC and is used in relatively compact operating conditions.
You can choose from one for repair to a matched pair that is easy to use with push-pull amplifiers.

Usage Precautions
5881 and 6L6GC are not unconditionally identical standards. Check the amplifier specification when mounting to an amplifier that uses 6L6GC with a particularly high plate voltage.

It is attractive that 5881 keeps the thickness of the 6L6 system, but does not hold as large as 6550 or KT88. With the right circuitry, you can create a sound that leverages the density of the middle range and the good response.
