LCNV conductors and grounding wires respond to the delicacy of phono signals.
Phono cable combining 22AWG LCNV for the signal line and 18AWG LCNV for the dedicated ground line.
Product Concept
The signal produced by a phono cartridge is extremely small compared to line-level signals. To deliver this delicate signal accurately to the phono equalizer, the electrical characteristics of the signal wire and the stability of the ground are essential. Luna Cables ORANGE Phono meets these requirements by separately designing the signal wire and dedicated ground wire.

The signal wire uses a 22AWG LCNV (Luna Cable Neo Vintage) copper conductor per polarity. The structure, with seven 30AWG tinned copper strands twisted together, combines high flexibility with resistance to skin effect. The tinned copper braided shield blocks external noise and protects the micro-signal path. The dedicated ground wire consists of two 18AWG LCNV conductors terminated with nickel-plated copper mini spades, providing stable grounding for the turntable. The DIN connector uses a 5-pin specification with gold-plated copper contacts, all hand-soldered.
Luna Cables: Cables handcrafted in Montreal
Luna Cables is a handmade audio cable brand based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. All products are produced in small quantities in a workshop, with each one finished by the hands of craftsmen. The careful attention and dedication to materials, absent in mass-produced items, support the musicality of Luna Cables.

■ LCNV Conductor (Luna Cable Neo Vintage): A unique conductor created by vintage processing machines
LCNV is Luna Cable's proprietary copper conductor produced using its own formulation and manufacturing method. By deliberately using vintage wire processing machines instead of cutting-edge CNC machines, we produce conductors with unique crystal structures and flexibility that modern precision machinery cannot replicate. This approach of "bringing the goodness of the old" to modern hi-fi is the core of Luna's sound.

■ Waxed Cottondielectric: Vibration control and musicality provided by natural materials
LCNV also features waxed cottondielectricIt is covered as such.dielectricThis term refers to the electrical properties of the coating material covering the conductor; the lower the material's dielectric constant, the less unnecessary interference there is on the signal waveform. Cotton soaked in wax has a lower dielectric constant compared to plastic materials, minimizing signal interference while also providing high vibration control performance. It absorbs fine noise from external vibrations, enhancing sound focus while achieving smooth and rich musical expression without feeling oppressive.

■ Uncompromising craftsmanship finishing every contact point by hand
All Luna Cables cables are hand-soldered at each connection point (All connections hand-soldered). The precise contact quality that cannot be achieved through mass mechanical production directly affects signal transparency and long-term reliability. This meticulous process is one of the reasons Luna Cables stands shoulder to shoulder with top audio brands.

■ Cotton Jacket: Unified from inside to outside with natural materials
The exterior features a flexible and easy-to-handle cotton jacket. It offers moderate flexibility and sound absorption that synthetic resin tubes lack, suppressing unnecessary tension and vibration transmission during installation. Luna's philosophy of thoroughly unifying materials from inside to outside using natural materials is reflected here as well.

Main Features
- Signal line: Tin-plated LCNV 1 × 22AWG (7 × 30AWG) / Polarity:Uses one 22AWG LCNV conductor for each polarity, made by twisting together seven 30AWG tin-plated copper wires. The twisted wire structure combines flexibility with resistance to epidermal effects, faithfully transmitting the micro signals generated by the cartridge.
- Dedicated ground wire: LCNV 18AWG × 2 pieces, nickel-plated copper mini spade termination:Equipped with a ground wire consisting of two 18AWG LCNV conductors, independent of the signal line. This allows the turntable's ground to be connected stably to the phono equalizer, suppressing the infiltration of hum and noise. The termination is a nickel-plated copper mini spade.
- Tin-plated copper blade shield:Blocks external electromagnetic noise and reliably protects delicate signal paths such as phono signals.
- 5-pin DIN connector (gold-plated copper contacts), all contacts hand-soldered:On the turntable side, a 5-pin DIN with gold-plated copper contacts is used. On the phono equalizer side, you can choose between RCA or XLR at the time of order. Please specify whether you want a straight or L-shaped DIN. All contacts are hand-soldered by skilled craftsmen.
