Product Concept

The Luna Cables MAUVE Ethernet is an Ethernet cable that inherits the hand-twisted pair configuration using eight LCNV 22AWG (7 × 30AWG) conductors, the same as the ORANGE Ethernet, while implementing a more thorough shielding structure. Whereas the ORANGE Ethernet has a single overall shield, the MAUVE Ethernet employs a double structure, with each pair individually shielded and an additional overall shield layered on top. This two-tier shielding blocks high-frequency noise from network devices as well as external electromagnetic noise.

dielectricIt uses a composite of paper, cotton, and varnish, taking a step further in low-interference design compared to the waxed cotton of ORANGE Ethernet. It is a cable that carries the material philosophy of the MAUVE series to the entrance of network audio.

LCNV is an in-house copper conductor produced with Luna Cable's unique composition and proprietary manufacturing method. Instead of using the latest CNC machines, vintage wire processing machines are deliberately employed, resulting in conductors with unique crystal structures and flexibility that modern precision machines cannot reproduce. This approach of harnessing "the goodness of old things" for modern high-fidelity is the core of the Luna sound.

■ Paper/Cotton/Var­nish Compositedielectric: Low interference and vibration damping produced by three-layer structure

In the MAUVE series, instead of the waxed cotton of the ORANGE series, a composite of paper, cotton, and varnish is useddielectricIt is adopted as such.dielectricThis refers to the electrical characteristics of the insulating material covering the conductor, and the lower the dielectric constant of the material, the less unnecessary interference there is with the signal waveform. This composite, combining varnish with natural materials such as paper and cotton, achieves both a low dielectric constant and high vibration-damping effect, minimizing interference with the signal while drawing out rich musical expression.

All cables from Luna Cables have each connection hand-soldered (All connections hand soldered). The meticulous contact quality that cannot be achieved by mass production with machines directly contributes to signal transparency and long-term reliability. ■ Cotton Jacket: Unified with natural materials from inside to outside

The exterior uses a flexible, easy-to-handle cotton jacket. It has moderate flexibility and sound absorption that synthetic resin tubes do not have, suppressing unnecessary tension and vibration propagation during installation. Luna's philosophy of thoroughly unifying materials with natural substances from the inside to the outside is also expressed here.

• LCNV 22AWG (7 × 30AWG) conductors × 8, hand-twisted pair configuration:Eight 22AWG conductors, each made by twisting seven strands of 30AWG LCNV tinned copper wire together, are hand-twisted by artisans to form four pairs. The subtle tension adjustment that cannot be achieved by machine twisting contributes to noise resistance and signal stability.
• Individual shielding for each pair + overall shield in a double structure:Each of the four twisted pairs is individually shielded with a tin-plated copper braid, and an overall shield covering all of them is added as a double structure. This significantly strengthens the overall shield compared to the single layer of the ORANGE Ethernet, blocking high-frequency noise from network devices and external electromagnetic noise in two stages.
• Paper/Cotton/Varnish compositedielectric：Each conductor is a low-dielectric compositedielectricIt is coated to minimize electrical interference between conductors and from external sources. It supports the signal quality of Ethernet transmission from the material aspect.
