The MAUVE series is Luna Cables' mid-range cable lineup, positioned above the ORANGE series. The biggest difference from the ORANGE series is the conductor anddielectricIt is in the materials. MAUVE RCA, XLR, and Digital cables use NOS (New Old Stock) tin-plated copper conductors, which are extremely difficult to obtain nowadays.dielectricAlso, instead of ORANGE’s waxed cotton, a composite of paper, cotton, and varnish is used, achieving even higher dielectric properties and vibration damping.

The sound of the MAUVE series has richer harmonics and a more musical roundness compared to the ORANGE series. Each instrument creates a natural space, and the details emerge quietly along with the breathing of the performance, without exaggeration. It is free from flashiness or stimulation, sounding as if it follows the breath of the music, with information that was hidden deep in the recording becoming naturally audible. Luna Cables MAUVE Digital RCA/BNC elevates the materials from ORANGE Digital (22AWG LCNV conductors) to 20AWG NOS tin-plated copper conductors,dielectricIt is an S/PDIF digital cable that has been evolved into a composite of paper, cotton, and varnish.

The rich harmonic characteristics of NOS copper conductors work not only with analog signals but also in digital pathways. This cable brings the musical depth of the MAUVE series directly into connections between a CD transport and DAC, or between a digital preamp and DAC. Connectors can be chosen at the time of order from three types: RCA-RCA, BNC-BNC, or RCA-BNC.

In the MAUVE series, instead of the waxed cotton of the ORANGE series, a composite of paper, cotton, and varnish is used.dielectricWe are employing (it) as.dielectricThis term refers to the electrical properties of the insulating material that covers the conductor, and the lower the dielectric constant of the material, the less unnecessary interference occurs in the signal waveform. This composite, which combines natural materials such as paper and cotton with varnish, achieves both a low dielectric constant and high vibration damping effect, minimizing interference with the signal while bringing out rich musical expression.

■ All connections finished with hand soldering, uncompromising craftsmanship

All Luna Cables are soldered by hand at each connection point (All connections hand soldered). The meticulous connection quality that cannot be achieved by mass-production machinery directly translates to signal transparency and long-term reliability. ■ Cotton jacket: Unified with natural materials from the inside out

The exterior uses a flexible and easy-to-handle cotton jacket. It has a moderate flexibility and sound absorption that synthetic resin tubes lack, suppressing unnecessary tension and vibration transmission during installation. Luna's philosophy of thoroughly unifying materials from the inside out with natural materials is also reflected here.

• Tin-Plated NOS Copper 20AWG (7 × 28AWG) Conductors × 2:Two 20AWG conductors are made by twisting seven 28AWG NOS (New Old Stock) tin-plated copper wires together. Thicker than ORANGE’s 22AWG LCNV conductor, it brings the rich harmonics and musical density unique to NOS copper, which are hard to obtain today, to digital paths. The twisted wire structure balances flexibility and resistance to skin effect.
• Paper/Cotton/Varnish Composite:dielectric：A three-layer composite of paper, cotton, and varnish covers the conductors, achieving low dielectric constant and high vibration damping simultaneously. This supports the accuracy of signal waveforms required for S/PDIF transmission from the material aspect.
• Tin-Plated Copper Braid Shield:Blocks external electromagnetic and high-frequency noise, protecting the digital signal path.
• RCA-RCA / BNC-BNC / RCA-BNC Connectors (Selectable) – All Hand-Soldered Contacts:Please specify the combination at the time of order. RCA-BNC can be used even if the CD transport and DAC terminal standards differ. All contacts are hand-soldered by craftsmen.
