Luna Cables ORANGE Digital is a coaxial digital cable that takes the digital transmission concept established by the GRIS series to a higher conductor diameter. We use two tin-plated LCNV (Luna Cable Neo Vintage) copper conductors, which have increased in diameter from GRIS's 24AWG to 22AWG, to achieve both the waveform accuracy required for S/PDIF transmission and the musical density of the ORANGE series.

In digital cables, improving the conductor diameter contributes to lowering the DC resistance of the signal path and improving electromagnetic stability. You can choose from three types of connectors when ordering: RCA-RCA, BNC-BNC, and RCA-BNC.

LCNV is an in-house copper conductor produced using Luna Cable's unique formulation and manufacturing method. By intentionally using a vintage wire processing machine instead of a cutting-edge CNC processing machine, we are able to create a conductor with a unique crystal structure and flexibility that cannot be reproduced with modern precision machinery. This approach of bringing the goodness of old things to life in modern hi-fi is the core of the Luna sound.

■ Waxed cottondielectric: Vibration control and musicality provided by natural materials

LCNV also has waxed cottondielectricIt is covered as.dielectricis a term that refers to the electrical properties of the coating material that covers a conductor; the lower the dielectric constant of the material, the less unnecessary interference with the signal waveform. Wax-impregnated cotton has a lower dielectric constant than plastic-based materials, minimizing signal interference while providing high vibration damping. It absorbs minute noises caused by external vibrations, creating a smooth and rich musical expression that does not feel oppressive while increasing the focus of the sound.

All connections on all Luna Cables cables are hand soldered. The precise contact quality that cannot be obtained through mass production using machines is directly linked to signal transparency and long-term reliability. ■ Cotton jacket: Made of natural materials from inside to outside

The exterior is made of a cotton jacket that is flexible and easy to handle. It has appropriate flexibility and sound absorption properties not found in synthetic resin tubes, and suppresses unnecessary tension and vibration propagation during installation. Luna's philosophy of using natural materials from inside to outside is evident here.

Its structure consists of seven strands of thin 30AWG tin-plated copper wire, making it more flexible and easier to handle compared to solid wire. Additionally, the stranded wire structure is advantageous for countering the skin effect (where high-frequency signals concentrate on the conductor surface), contributing to stable transmission of digital signals. Combined with the reduced DC resistance, it brings the unique musical density of the ORANGE series to the digital path.
