Product Concept (MAUVE Ground)

Luna Cables MAUVE Ground is a dedicated ground cable that increases the conductors from two in ORANGE Ground to three. The total cross-sectional area of the three LCNV 18AWG (7 × 28AWG) conductors reaches the equivalent of 13AWG, enabling more uniform grounding with lower resistance. It can be used especially as a ground wire when connecting a turntable and phono equalizer with RCA/RCA phono cables, as well as for ground loop countermeasures throughout the system. Both ends are terminated with nickel-plated copper mini spades, and all contact points are hand-soldered.

The LCNV is an in-house copper conductor produced with Luna Cable's unique composition and manufacturing method. Rather than using state-of-the-art CNC machines, they deliberately employ vintage wire processing machines, resulting in a conductor with a distinctive crystalline structure and flexibility that modern precision machinery cannot reproduce. This approach, which leverages the quality of 'old things' in modern hi-fi, is at the heart of the Luna sound.

■ Paper/Cotton/Varnish Compositedielectric: Low interference and vibration damping created by three-layer structure

In the MAUVE series, instead of the waxed cotton of the ORANGE series, a composite of paper, cotton, and varnish is useddielectricIt is adopted as such.dielectricThe term refers to the electrical properties of the insulating material that covers the conductor, and the lower the dielectric constant of the material, the less unwanted interference occurs in the signal waveform. This composite, which combines varnish with natural materials such as paper and cotton, achieves both a low dielectric constant and high vibration-damping effect, drawing out rich musical expression while minimizing interference to the signal.

■ Handmade soldering of all connections, uncompromising craftsmanship

All Luna Cables are hand-soldered at each connection point (All connections hand soldered). The meticulous connection quality, which cannot be achieved by mass production machines, directly affects the signal transparency and long-term reliability. This labor-intensive process is one of the reasons Luna Cables can stand shoulder to shoulder with high-end audio brands.

■ Cotton jacket: Unified natural materials from inside to outside

The exterior uses a flexible, easy-to-handle cotton jacket. It has moderate flexibility and sound absorption not found in synthetic resin tubes and suppresses unnecessary tension and vibration propagation during installation. Luna's philosophy of unifying materials from the inside out entirely with natural materials is also reflected here.
