The ER-PC5 is a CFRP plug cover developed to suppress plug "rattling" and provide a high S/N playback environment. It adopts an inner diameter of 38mm, compatible with many power plugs including those from Marinco. Even if advanced noise countermeasures are taken on the power cable side, the plug itself is surprisingly vulnerable. The unit uses high-elasticity carbon fiber with approximately 3.3 times the tensile strength of standard CFRP longitudinally, and optimally blends medium-strength fibers in the circumferential direction. This structure meets the three elements of strength, rigidity, and vibration damping at a high level, significantly improving vibration decay speed. The 3mm-thick CFRP also has a high electromagnetic shielding effect, creating a quiet environment around the plug.
