The Markaudio development team challenged themselves to create the ideal speaker unit that combines the delicate expression of the Pluvia7 and Alpair6 with the low-frequency reproduction down to 40Hz that the Alpair10 boasts. The result of this challenge is the CHR90. It combines superb resolution with powerful low-end performance, offering excellent cost performance, and adds a new choice to the Markaudio lineup.
Lightweight MMD drive system: 4.5g – for agile response
The CHR90 uses a voice coil similar to that of the Pluvia7 class but incorporates a lightweight 4.5g engine. This enables precise sound reproduction and a responsive, fast performance.
X-Max 7mm – long-throw design for rich bass
Achieves an X-Max of 7mm (one-way), approaching the Alpair10. This allows dynamic and deep low-frequency expression, delivering rich bass even in a small enclosure.
F0 44Hz, VAS 26L – wide-range frequency characteristics
With proper enclosure design, it achieves a broad frequency response of 37Hz–28kHz (±3dB). It expresses a balanced sound from delicate highs to deep lows, making it suitable for a wide range of music genres.
