I want to enjoy the deep world of analog discs!
Technology of the Year 2019 (Analog Category)
Bakun Products has created the CAP series, which produces a high-quality music life in a size that fits perfectly in a narrow space.
The CAP-1004 is a multi-curve phono equalizer amplifier developed to play vintage analog discs more accurately. The biggest feature is that you can use 6 types of equalizer curves to enjoy the vintage discs in your collection.
Records prior to 1960 had a mix of various equalizer curves, not just the RIAA curve, which is the current standard equalizer curve. The CAP-1004 is an equalizer amplifier equipped with 6 types of curves: the current standard RIAA and the old equalizer curves NAB, COLUMBIA, FFRR, AES, and OLD RCA. The CAP-1004 was developed to easily reproduce the original sound of old analog discs with different equalizer curves. Enjoy the thrill of old analog discs with the CAP-1004.
In addition to switching between MM and MC cartridges, the CAP-1004 can be switched to four stages depending on the cartridge that uses the gain of the equalizer. MC cartridges with low output voltages at 0 dB and -30 dB with high output cartridges with output voltages greater than 10 mV. When switching the equalizer curve, the gain of 1 KHz is designed so that the fluctuation is within 0.3 dB even if the EQ is switched, which is useful when switching curves and checking the change in sound. By muting, noise can be suppressed when switching between selectors, replacing cartridges, and cleaning needle tips.
Uses battery power to shut out noise
You can use a USB charger or a mobile battery for mobile power. The current consumption is 5V 250mA, so it can be used for 40 hours with a 10AH battery. If you use a mobile battery, it will not be affected by noise, so you can operate the CAP-1004 in the best condition.

*Bakun Products will gradually change its logo and name to SCL (SATRI Circuit Laboratory). Thank you for your understanding.
Bakun Products knows better. Vintage analog disc collectors will want to listen to the analog discs in their collection in the equalizer curve of the time in which they were recorded. In reality, there are almost no phono amps that allow you to choose an equalizer curve, so I don't have such an opportunity, so I think the CAP-1004 is a "buy" for that reason alone. Nowhere on the record jacket does it say what format it is in, so it's really hard to figure out which equalizer curve the record uses, but that's also fun. Listen to your favorite songs and ask yourself, "What about this curve?" Wow, this is what is going to happen." Quest? There is no end to it. You can't overlook the fact that the transparency is extremely high, the sound is firm and high-quality, and the noise is extremely low. The fun time flies by.
A masterpiece of phono equalizers in pursuit of CP
It's like opening a Pandora's box. If you own a stereo record from the early 1960s, you should definitely buy it.
The mono disc of the 50's has a great effect on the surface, and the sound that I once thought was the personality of the recording and gave up is unrecognizably better.
However, there are many records where it is unclear whether the EQ curve is really correct, so the sense of the listener is questioned. Whether the work is easy or difficult depends on the competence and perseverance of the person who owns it. The reason why I gave it 4 stars is that the parts used are rather small and the power supply (using a 5V mobile battery), but even with AC, the sound through the PC audio power supply and noise cut transformer is relatively well affected by the power supply. The sound quality is a wonderful sound quality that has revived the sound quality of the FM acoustic phonoico that I have heard before, and the SN ratio exceeds 130db, so the gain position is finely set in the MC position, and it can be used for all cartridges. I was able to listen to it with a good sound without going through a trance. It also has a mute function when switching EQ curves and a volume difference for each EQ curve, making it a wonderful phonoico that pays attention to detail. It's like opening a Pandora's box. If you own a stereo record from the early 1960s, you should definitely buy it.
