Vacuum tube amplifiers require adjustments to stabilize the tubes at their optimal operating point (bias point), but the AST-5881sSTK has a self-bias function that automatically performs the troublesome bias adjustment. This allows you to easily enjoy the differences in sound quality of each vacuum tube by simply replacing it with a compatible vacuum tube. Furthermore, the self-bias capacitor used has a larger capacity of 470 microns, compared to the typical capacitance (100-200 microns), and the sound is clearly expressed even when the volume is turned down.
