Freely manipulate old records

Get the old equalizer curve in your hand

Description

The EQA-5640MK4 is a phonoichorizer amplifier that allows you to play the vintage analog disk more correctly. Until the 1950s, the records were mixed with various equalizer curves besides the current standard equalizer curve, RIAA curve. There were standards for each record company's master tape production, and a unique equalizer curve was set by recorded age and record companies. Currently, the US Records Association = RIAA has unified equalizer curves. Most of the commercially available phonoiico rizer amplifiers are only compatible with RIAA, so when you listen to old records before the mid -1950s, you will listen to them with a completely different setting. The EQA-5640MK4 is an equalizer amplifier equipped with six types of curves: the current RIAA and the representative old equalizer curves Nab, Columbia, FFRR, AES, and Old RCA. By using these six types of equalizer curves, you can enjoy the latest vintage disk from the latest records in your original sound.

When switching the equalizer curve, it is designed so that a 1kHz gain is switched within 0.3 dB even if the EQ is switched, so it is convenient when switching the curve and checking the change in the sound. By mute, you can reduce the occurrence of noise by switching each selector, replacing the cartridge, and cleaning the needle tip. There is no loop noise for power amplifier connection.

Low noise, high resolution

EQA-5640MK4 has a good S/N ratio and has almost no noise or distortion by adopting HBK (i) (Hibiki) -IC and HBFBC of the new generation SATRI (Satori) circuit.

In addition to switching MM and MC cartridge, you can get the optimal position that does not clip by setting the equalizer gain in 6 steps in detail according to the output voltage of the cartridge. For MC cartridge with extremely small output voltage, use HIGH1 and Low2 is used for large output MM cartridges whose output voltage exceeds 10 mV.

In addition, the output circuit is equipped with a conventional voltage output and current output SATRI-LINK. Therefore, the output impedance is several 10m ohms, and the connection between the company's preamplifier and the power amplifier is insulated, so even if the cable is extended for a long time, the induction noise is not picked up, so the high -dimensional analog record is played. Is possible.

The power supply uses a high -quality large -capacity torodar transformer with an analog power supply, and all surface implementation parts are used to play a direct sound without thick color in the midrange. The size is the same compact amplifier size as SCA-7511MK4.

Review
Speaking of multi-curve phonoi riser, there is a CAP-1004 of the General CAP series, but the EQA-5640MK4 is compatible with multi-EQ curves, and the basic internal configuration is almost the same as the CAP1004 in the MK3 era to the same newly developed circuit. It is a little disappointing because the change is a substantial grade down, so it is a little disappointing (although the sound of the bakoon to be compared is a surprising high dimension, so there is not much concern about the sound quality). Rather, if you are listening to vintage records before the 1960s, listening to the original sound according to the equalizer curve of the record is much more merit than listening to the curve shifted sound. There will be. Impression that the voltage stabilization is stabilized by the analog power supply of Troodartrance and the thickness or richer feeling centered on the midrange than the CAP1004. It is a form that can be set in six steps in detail, which is compatible with recent high -output cartridges. In MK3, it is natural that the relay of MUTE, which was broken and unpopular, has been firmly countered. 。
The essential multi -curve function is that in the old age, the roller and equalizer curves are different depending on the record company and the recorded era, and some records are not easy to match depending on the record. At the time of surprisingly, the sound of the sound is a tearful thing, and the joy is also a good idea. DECCA should have been unified in RIAA around 1953-54, but DECCA has adopted FFRR in the 1960s, and other record companies used the RIAA previously used equalizer curves. It's interesting at all. This will be the best item that will help you to explore the old analog board.
