Bakoon Products has released two long-awaited new amplifiers! One of them is the CAP-1001M, a monaural amplifier from the CAP series.
The CAP-1001M is based on the existing CAP-1001, but uses the same high-quality components as the high-end model, from the internal components to the speaker terminals and the volume knob material. In addition, it uses Bakoon's latest technology, the second-generation HBK(I) amplification circuit, and is now available as a mono power amplifier with a non-feedback design. For input, you can choose between the SATRI-LINK (BNC) type, which is Bakoon's pride, dedicated to current transmission, and the RCA terminal type for normal voltage transmission.
The size is 130 mm wide, which is the same as the other CAP series, but the height and depth are slightly larger. The reason is that they use more high-end components. For example, it is equipped with a speaker terminal that supports banana plugs, which could not be supported by the CAP-1001, and a potentiometer, which could not be built-in. In addition, the gain control knob has been resized to a solid size made of Bakelite instead of a small one made by a 3D printer, making it easier to operate. This bakelite is actually a surprisingly high-quality material.
And what! The front panel is proudly engraved with the kanji symbol "Hibiki", which has begun to be used in new models. It gives a special impression for high-end models!

Another one is the SCL AMP-5522 power amplifier.
This is Bakoon Products' first fully digitally controlled power amplifier that supports remote control operation, and it is one of the units that thoroughly pursues fine volume adjustment and precise balance between the left and right channels. The high-precision digital attenuator of the 10-bit relay type, which achieves a balance accuracy of 0.001 dB or less, allows you to enjoy clear and transparent sound at any volume while suppressing distortion.
In addition, the AMP-5522 is equipped with HBK(I) circuitry for both voltage and current signals. This circuit greatly contributes to the reduction of noise and distortion compared to conventional buffer circuits, and reproduces a wide range from low to high frequencies with precision and high accuracy. Despite its high-output design with a maximum output of 70W, it boasts excellent performance with a maximum output of 58W with a distortion of 1%, producing deep bass and delicate treble.
There are also a wide variety of models. The AMP-5522M has four RCA voltage inputs and two BNC current inputs, allowing flexible connection to a variety of source devices as a main amplifier. On the other hand, the AMP-5522P, which is designed to be combined with a preamplifier, is equipped with one XLR balanced input in addition to voltage and current inputs, making it an excellent match for high-end systems.
Thanks to its sleek design and high driving power, the AMP-5522 shows its true value in a wide range of systems. In particular, the stable damping factor in the bass range brings out the depth of the sound and maintains consistent sound quality at different output levels, so it can be used for any music, regardless of genre.
