Clear reproduction sound that is pleasant to the ear
Triangular point support base
The setting base PB-22 is a setting base for amplifiers and speakers. The material is ebony wood (a type called striped ebony from Southeast Asia), which is one of the hardest and strongest materials in wood. This material is now a rare material, but it is actually used for guitar necks and violin pieces, and has a specific gravity of about 1.1, and has a reputation for its good sound.
PB-22 has a unique triangular shape, which is more stable when installed, and has the advantage that the upper tip is linear instead of sharp, so the product installed on top is relatively scratch-resistant. It is also more stable than a pinpoint support base when installed at 3 or 4 points. Of course, the vibration damping effect of pinpoint support (or more precisely, line support) can also be obtained sufficiently.
Metal is usually used for these pinpoint basses, but metal spikes often produce a resonant sound that is unique to metal, and by combining hard wood, these resonant sounds can be prevented and a clear reproduction sound can be obtained that is pleasing to the ear.
PB-22 is effective not only for speaker systems, but also for amplifiers and CD players. To use it, install three or four triangular 90-degree corners facing upward, such as under the bottom plate or legs of the equipment to be used. The orientation of the upper ridge can be either forward-to-back or left-to-side. There is a slight difference in sound depending on the difference in direction, so please check and decide by yourself. If you put the first two and the last two (or one) in opposite directions, the sound will change again. It seems that the main thing is that the spread and reverberation of the sound changes.
