Get a fresh, beautiful resonant sound

Spike base combining African ebony and ceramic

Description

African ebony wood is a top-of-the-line product that has a reputation for its good sound, and is very hard, dense, and beautiful. It has a heavy specific gravity and is one of the hardest and toughest materials in wood. If the legs of equipment that uses spikes, such as speakers and amplifiers, are received by a metal receiving base, a metal-specific squeak may occur or damage the pin tip of the spike.

African ebony has a moderate hardness (softness) and a beautiful sound, so when it receives metal spikes, it can bite into it moderately and hold it accurately. In addition, the PB-18 has an alumina ceramic chip fitted into the back side in contact with the floor surface, providing an additional vibration damping effect as a three-point support. This ceramic tip has a diameter of 12 mm, a protrusion of about 0.5 mm from the bottom of the actual base, and a rounded tip, so it can be installed stably without damaging the floor. The hardness is as high as 9, second only to diamonds, and it is relatively light, so you can get a clear reproduced sound.

The combination of metal and wood makes it almost impossible to make a metallic sound, and the bass is tightened, pinpoint support, and you can get a very clear reproduction sound with a beautiful resonance.

Review

Since the metal spikes bite into each other well, there is no vibration like repulsion between metals, there is no so-called metal squeal, and the sense of stability is high. Since the white eyebrows are ceramic and are in contact with the floor, the point effect is higher than that of other wooden spike receiving bases, and you can see that the tightness of the sound is felt throughout the entire area and the transparency has increased. The low frequencies are tight, and the high frequencies pass high without blurring.
