Gain more depth with monaural amplification
An ambitious work that pursues a beautiful mirror-finished appearance and the highest sound quality
Astro Electronics has renewed its lineup of high-grade amplifiers to all monaural specifications. By converting a stereo amplifier to a monaural amplifier, you can obtain higher output power and deeper sound. It is especially effective in improving acoustic performance when driving loudspeakers with high loads. Depending on the acoustics and speaker arrangement of the room, the sound field may lack balance during stereo playback, but by integrating the outputs of both channels by making it monaural, a uniform and stable sound field can be obtained.Audio symmetry can be improved.
In addition, it should not be overlooked that the weight of each unit is reduced to less than half (compared to the company's ratio) compared to stereo amplifiers, which are bulky in weight of full-frame amplifiers, making it very easy to install and handle.
Beautifully mirrored1.6mm thick high-quality stainless steel chassis and parts mounted on the steel sheetClear finishThe robust structure made of 1.5 mm thick oxygen-free copper prevents resonance from inside and outside, contributing to high sound quality with high transparency and no noise.
The transformer uses an original transformer that pursues sound quality without compromise while keeping the price down. The input terminals and speaker output terminals are gold-plated high-grade terminals.
For self-biased capacitors, the AST-KT88MVIP/SP uses a capacitor of 4000 microns, which is an order of magnitude different from the capacitor used by general manufacturers. As a result, although it is self-biased, it has the same sound quality as the fixed bias. Feel free to replace compatible vacuum tubes such as KT88 and KT120 manufactured by vacuum tube manufacturers around the world to get the best performance.
In addition, the use of a UL connection increases the output power and contributes to improved sound transparency and resolution. The volume is controlled precisely by adopting a click-type 31-contact attenuator.
